Still believe this mate? I didn't see him on the pitch today. Did he play or did Side Show Bob put Lulu in his pocket?

Yeah totally. i think lukaku will still improve further, but at the moment costa is a couple of levels above him at the moment.

If anything todays game reinforced by original post.

Man people normally think Diego isn't that good at taking players on with the ball but f'kin hell for that 5th goal how he controlled the ball and then made a mug out of the 2 everton midfielders before leaving them in the dust. Phenomenal.

Costa has been 1 card away from a suspension for 5 games now. He hasn't acted out one bit. No ruffing of feathers, no talking back to refs, nothing. This is very much aligned with his no red card policy.

He does everything and anything till the ref says "one more!". He doesn't do the ugly things because he needs to he does it because he thinks it helps his team to win.

Now he just scores because it is the only thing he can do.

Read something the other day about Conte giving him much more positive energy and telling him to concentrate on scoring goals with controlled aggression.

Apparently, Jose used to play on his tempremant to use the whole "us against the world" rhetoric.

The form he's in, he's the best striker in the Premier League and one of best in world and I never doubted the bloke.

at the beginning of the video, DC was telling someone to look at him & send it to him. I wonder if that was Side Show Bob he was talking to hmm.gif

I said it before it quite possible He goes rest of the season without a booking unless Conte has him get a strategic booking for a game

Does the cards not expire on 31 December, or has this changed?

Anyway, if he can keep his cool, keep his mouth zipped and not retaliate, this will surely wind up opposition players even more, plus earn him brownie points with refs, then hopefully result in a number of bookings and possibly sending offs for our opposition.

Does anyone know where I could get a Costa 'The Guv'nor' flag like the one at the bridge?

one of the vendors outside the Bridge during match day? That is what I would do.

They don't expire. The limit for suspension is raised to 10 however.

The way am reading the rules is you get a one match suspension if you hit five yellows up to 31 December, however if you get your fifth on 01 January or after, it does not result in a suspension, instead you get a conduct warning.

Then, if you accumulate 10 yellows before the end of the season, it results in a 2 match suspension.

Lemme help you out with the actual ruling:

Quote

Suspensions are automatically imposed for accumulating 5, 10, or 15 cautions in a season. There are cut-off dates for receiving a sanction as a result of accumulated cautions. They are:

CAUTIONS   CUT OFF DATES (Inclusive)
5 (Premier League)
31 December
5 (English Football League, National League, Steps 2-4)
30 November
10 (Premier League)
2nd Sunday in April
10 (English Football League, National League, Steps 2-4)
2nd Sunday in March
15 End of Season

Also 10 yellows only mean a 2 games ban if the player was already suspended for one after 5 yellows.

Thanks but I was quite correct in my statement.

Plus, it's a 2 game suspension after 10 yellows regardless if you were suspended or not prior to 31 December.

Please point out the inaccuracy of this statement, "The way am reading the rules is you get a one match suspension if you hit five yellows up to 31 December, however if you get your fifth on 01 January or after, it does not result in a suspension, instead you get a conduct warning.

Did you read the quote? 10 yellows is only 1 game if 5 yellows weren't reached until 31st Dec.

So my statement directly above is entirely accurate, thanks for clarifying.
