Traore and Costa fees are both wayyyyyyy too low. Cant blame the club. I think traore is more like a barca deal. Sell cheap so that we can buy him back cheap: deulofeu. I can see us doing the same for Musonda too. And it makes sense for players the club thinks can make it big and have a high probability of buying them back. As for Costa, he had our hands tied. He went to the media saying that he was unwanted at the club and he was willing to leave the club. Add to that his comments about leaving for no where except for ATM. What options did we have left? Either sell him for whatever price they were offering or keep him here and show him who the boss is. The club has taken the smart decision and want to be rid of his continous antics and aseninism. I will say "Good riddance and get lost"

You're drowning w**ker give up, there is only so long you can talk to people with that smart arse little tone of yours, consensus is building. I can't stand c**ts like you, arrogant little pricks that think they can do a bit of reading online with f**k all real world experience and turn up like lord fontkeroy giving it the smart arse. Stick to tennis you melt.

Costs gave us 2 in 3 seasons, or 1 1/2 seasons as some like to say, it's a waste really like him as a player.
July 5, 20179 yr In the minority without a doubt but I'm going to miss him. Wish him the best of luck on his return to Madrid

Wish him the best of luck on his return to Madrid I feel very different & I reckon he & Atletico orchestrated a calculated move to get him at a bargain price. You never hear any players openly come out nowadays requesting a move, as they have loyalty bonuses inserted in their contracts. Atletico were never going to pay more than what they received for him, and by making public his desire to move ONLY to Atletico he has screwed us over. In a market where Arsenal want £30m for Chamberlain & Lukaku valued at £60m+, Costa at £22m is ridiculous.

I feel like we were played like you said, bit of a c**t move really. The man can do whatever he wants and still get chanted...

July 5, 20179 yr not sure how true, but I read Atlético can't loan him out, because heceoukdnt be officially registered for them. The only way he goes out on loan, is if we agree to loan him for 6 months, before he moves on a pre contract in January. Anything less than £35m and id refuse to sell him. If everton can stand firm on player evaluations, so can we. Keep him at the club as 2nd choice to a new striker, it will blow over by October anyway. If Atlético can't afford that, then they need to offer up someone in exchange. I've got faith in the board still getting a good deal, they have made mistakes bringing people in, but we have done excellent business eith out going transfers.
July 5, 20179 yr So why do we have to sell for such a paltry fee, surely we could play hardball and see who folds first, i'd certainly back Roman against Diego and Atleti in a game of bluff?

He wants athleti specifically so we have an insider and an outsider for it, where we are at now he would be seen as a disruption and would rather get him away at a loss than disrupt the team and start of teh season I would think is why we can't start a bidding war for him because to be fair he is a to class striker if lukaku is 70 mil factor in age, costa is at least 50, at least, but if he wont play ball with another club we have no leverage, he gave away his hand that he only wants athleti and with it our leverage
July 5, 20179 yr IF Manyoo hijack the Lukaku sale, we could realistically only have Michy as a striker, then we'll panic buy, might have grown to dislike Diego, but he is going to be hard to replace?..........this could be real problematic.....
July 5, 20179 yr I thought I'd be ok with it but 22m is really taking the piss. He's been major injury-free for the better part of 2 years and he's arguably a better player now than he did back then. At least pay the original sum back to us if you won't include any player into deal Edited July 5, 20179 yr by Deino

Or do you want to start a new thread? Surprising that you with all your apparent knowledge of the ground reality, and your knowledge of all the know how of footballers/boxers could not get a simple read on the player. Hmmm, interesting.
July 6, 20179 yr Offer Atletico £70m + Diego for Griezmann. Both deals to go through January 1st. We loan Diego to that point to the club of his/their choosing on the condition they don't cup-tie Griezmann for the champions league.

Actually don't answer just f**k off.

There is one thing in a player having a drop of form, and completely different when he simply stands on the pitch doing nothing or even trying. Which was evident from the way he was playing since Jan. Apparently the HD TV, works better than the ground zero reality.
