Why does the media suggest we value our stars so low while everyone else slaps hefty price tags on theirs?

They spent over double what we paid for oscar for lucas moura. They gonna need to do better than that

If it were true I doubt we'd sell him for exactly what we paid for him 3 years ago, especially given he's just signed a 5 year contract extension. 

They always undervalue our players and then we end up getting a lot more for them, if Oscar goes I think we'd receive at least over £35m probably over £40m if you look at the money we received from Mata, I don't think we'll sell mind you.

£23m is a joke, he is worth almost double that. Not that we should even consider selling him.

This lad needs a long rest, he has played non stop for three years, I cannot believe he does not have a future at Chelsea.

I doubt he will get any rest in the summer when Brazil is playing Copa America. Rest would be good, but I think he needs to work on his strength alot more to improve his game further.

Oscar is needed, he's still young and on the right way of his playing. I think Jose should not think about selling him, even if he does, not for 23m of course. 30 milion minimum.

I don't agree with this excuse that Oscar needs rest. He isn't the only Brazilian that has been playing non stop for the past few years. He's been well managed by Jose this season too. He can't really be tired if he is in and out of the team at times. I just think he needs to develop some consistency to his game, if he can get that he can become a real top player.

 

I want us to keep Oscar because i think he will become more consistent the older he gets.

Don't see any reason to sell Oscar unless we're desperate for funds.

 

He's had his blips, which I think have been exaggerated, but the quality and the potential is undeniable. Plus. we've played our best football under Mourinho with him in form, links up so well with Cesc and Eden.

 

He's only 23. There's at least a decade's worth of an excellent footballer left in him. Why would we be looking to sell?

23mill is an insult. They are likely getting top money from psg for pogba, they can afford a lot more if they want Oscar.

No point selling Oscar until we get a obscene amount of money in return. He's maturing and I believe the consistency will be there soon. Who's there to say Pogba is definitely an upgrade to Oscar? He's not proven at EPL level. We need consistency, rather than another firesale and shopping spree,otherwise we will be building a team every season.

This ain't happening. Oscar's a terrific player who needs a long vacation.

I'd be sad if we sold him for that price considering what Mata and Luiz left for.

I don't really rate him as being anything other than decent but we should be getting more than that for him given his age and length of contract he is on.

No offence but £23 million is way below his market value and it would be a questionable amount to sell him for. I'd expect us to be able to get a similar amount next season which means it's worth keeping him around for one more year and using him a bit more sensibly.

IMO using him more sensibly would mean relegating him to a permanent bench player, and that would mean his value drops even more

I think everyone realises he's a talented player, the issue is simply his consistency. That's always a problem with young players which is why I'd give him one more year.
