Well deserverd in my opinion. We were the better side before Arsenal's first sending off, and it's not our fault Gabriel has high blood pressure.

A must win, and we got it in the end, even had a few nervous moments with 11 vs 10. The pressing was the difference today, we pressed hard from first minute, and for the first time this season all 10 outfield were pressing. Therefore I believe dropping JT was justified. Only 2 games but Oscar is proving to be the missing link, we just played lot faster and fluent with him on the field. Let's hope he get a rest midweek and could play a full game against Newcastle. Hazard was much more involved today, Pedro's shooting was way off but did well, Zouma was awesome at the back. He's probably the first 3 on the team sheet these days. We were no where near our best, but I feel we are find some rhythm in attack and more stability in midfield and the back. If we get another win midweek, we should feel pretty confident beating Newcastle at their back yard for the first time in a while.

Brilliant performance even before the red cards we dominated the game and thoroughly deserved the win, starting to look like ourselves again, up the chels!

Who was the best players?

Social media in meltdown over Costa...woops.

Arsenal probably thought that this was an excellent time to be playing against us :-)

So, apparently Costa has the gift of mind control! Good grief.

Good peformance today, even before the red card we were on top and looked the mostly likely to score. Every player put the effort in and Ivanovic actually put in a positive performance, it was desperately needed. He's got to keep it up now though, it's no good only having 1 good game.

 

Hazard was attacking today which was great to see, and Fabregas is looking so much better now. He's passing the ball well and getting assists. Pedro's shooting was off today but on another day he get's a goal, going forward i actually think he is often the most dangerous because of how direct he is. Matic was good today too, he made some decent interceptions and passes.

 

Costa was the only downer really, not massively but i think we need to stop forcing him out wide. The guy does all of his hard work in the area, not out wide. Keep him in the area and feed him the passes, he is no good to us outside the area, we knew that when we bought him.
