Klopp Watch

Not saying I would take Klopp over Jose, BUT.................

It's early days, he might just have got lucky and this could be a flash in the pan like we have seen so many times before. But I do like Klopp and he already has Liverpool playing the sort of football Roman is after.

Just hope it all goes wrong and ends in tears!

(With the caveat that a lot [most?] punditry and prediction is complete guesswork,) Klopp does seem to have changed something at LFC. The team is (on paper) capable and if Klopp has brought organisation and motivation to Anfield then a short term change may build into something. I hope not, obv :-)

Oh Nibsy! Isn't three weeks a long time in football? Listening to the radio phone-ins tonight the natives in scouseland aren't happy. Has he lost the dressing room already?

When he arrived he described himself as the normal one. He certainly looks like it so far.

To be honest, if Klopp was sacked by Liverpool this summer I'd take him as our next manager in a heartbeat.

Really think he'd suit us.

Takes more than a hair transplant, designer glasses and a track suit to make a good manager.

He hasn't exactly started with a bang. I do like him and think he's a character but results haven't been brilliant. I know he needs a couple of transfer windows so will give him time.

He has a certain hysterical edge about him, but that may be a recent thing after spending time in and at Liverpool.

Considering Klopp's Mr Nice Guy image he's already had touchline bust ups with a few managers, Pulis and Big Sam most notably.

Mr. Nice Guy? He's always been a bit of a loose cannon.

If he was our manager he'd be getting a lot more stick over his touchline shenanigans, also anyone would look o.k. after following Brenda into a job.

Good that Klopp has confirmed that he has the final say on signings at Liverpool.

I'm so glad Steven Caulker wasn't just bought as a last gasp effort by some committee of men in grey suits. Clearly Jurgen has been watching Caulker for some time and it must be Klopp himself who spotted Caulker's potential as an auxiliary striker.

YAWN!

Has he been massively overrated?

Maybe, it's hard to tell with the crap he has though. In his time at Dortmund he had world class players, as soon as 2 or 3 left he was struggling in the relegation zone. I don't think he is capable of getting the best out of average players, he needs top quality players to make him look better than he really is.

If José had behaved the way Klopp did yesterday the FA charge would already have been served.

Rapidly becoming the manager I destest the most after the FSW.

For me it comes with managing that lot automatically.

No bigger w**ker than the w**ker in charge.

His fine must be in the post along with that of Martinez, no campaign against Jose mind you ;)

To be fair it was only in his third season at Dortmund that they reached a serious level, at which point they won the league two years in a row, and broke the Bundesliga points record in the second title win.

I imagine Liverpool will gradually improve during his tenure (assuming there is no serious internal conflict and they are not stupid enough to sack him). It's probably also worth noting that they have the second-youngest average squad age in the league.

What a horrible thought - a young, disciplined, and steadily improving Tottenham and Liverpool. This might be a nasty few years... hopefully we will see the emergence of a Leicester City dynasty under Claudio while we rebuild and come back with our own youth-powered juggernaut (with a 34-year-old bearded Mikel as captain).
