Guus Hiddink - New (old) Chelsea-manager

Featured Replies

The old mans lost it. Play the youth ffs. Give us tammy and palmer tonight. Change formation maybe too, make things exciting for once this season.

We can all pretend Guus did a good job, steadied the ship, and whatever the hell people want to say. But if we're all being honest he's been disappointing. Seems like a nice bloke but I'll be glad to see the back of him.

Helpful act? He was employed on a huge wage, not some charity aid. His time here has been a complete waste of time, money and effort.

I was watching on an American stream last night but had the usual English commentary (not sure if it was the SKY one).

When Abraham came on they said according to sources at the club Conte requested that players like Abraham were to get some game time so he could see them in action. Did anyone else pick up on this?

If true (which of course it might not be) that's a bit strange given the manager is being told who to play. One thing that kind of made me think it could be true is that Guus in all his time here never made subs that early like this every other game he was in charge of.

using DM as CB, that's not too bad of an idea but only with the right players.. kompany is one.. both mascherano and makelele can be great too if they have the height.. and then david luiz if he can put his heart in defending but mikel certainly not that man.. oh yeah, it's not a break through move from hiddink, silly me, he just wanted to f**king play mikel regardless..

You might not agree with Guss's team selection but is there any need with telling him to f**k off.Right up there with the other so called supporter who said he might boo last night.

I go to a lot of games and I never get this.

Your wife sleeps with someone, you divorce her. You catch your kid doing drugs, you beat the sh*t out of him. You see the manager doing something wrong, you call him out on it.

Why should everyone simply sing praises irrespective of circumstances.

In my job, if I keep repeating the same mistake over and over and over again, I get the abuse from my boss, from the client and probably from my family for not getting home the bacon. Why should it be anything different for Gus. He is not doing us a "favour". He is getting paid MILLIONS of pounds for 4 lousy months, something which most of us wont earn in a lifetime. Is it too much for people like us who spend their hard earned money trying to enjoy their favourite football team, to actually get to enjoy their favourite football team.

No one expected us to beat Liverpool if Kenedy, RLC, traore, Baba, Salter started the game, but atleast we could have seen some of the young guns getting some gametime and experience.

I understand what you are saying, but I rather see an effort like last night. CFC held on until the very end. A mixture of Youth & experience did well last night

I was not the one making judgemental statements. Just posted what i felt when I saw that line up and Mikel at CB.

think before you post & don't jump to conclusions - It damn well worked last night - were you not cheering for CFC because of Guus' line-up?

No i was not. I was cheering CFC because its CFC and I would cheer irrespective of any line up or result.

Gus' line-up just saddened and frustrated fans because their is no meritocracy in the club.

RLC was our MOTM against City and literally heads and shoulders above the rest of the players and shockingly that was also his last start. Why? How?

Also, I am not "jumping to conclusions". I have a 50 odd game long and hopelessly awful season behind me to judge players who were playing on the pitch and it was only fair to expect some young players like RLC and Kenedy to get starts and Mikel to not play as CB.

But we were 15 matches unbeaten man!
