May 15, 201610 yr Ain't looked as forward to a manager leaving since rafa........Had priceless chance to use & develop the young un's but instead just played the same failures who put us in the sh*t, I would have gladly finished a further 3/4 places and had 3 or 4 kids with 8 plus appearance's under their belts. So so f**king disappointed.
May 15, 201610 yr Absolutely hopeless. His reign has been worse than jose's 2015-16 4 months. Honestly never been happier watching a manager leave. Even more than fsw.
May 15, 201610 yr I blame the mercenaries 100%, HOWEVER........neither Jose nor Gus had the balls to drop them all.
May 15, 201610 yr Didn't do anything that Jose wouldn't have done but did what he was asked to do I guess cheers Guus all the best.
May 15, 201610 yr Thanks for everything Guus, but I'm glad this stint is over. It hasn't been enjoyable.
May 15, 201610 yr Absolutely hopeless. His reign has been worse than jose's 2015-16 4 months. Honestly never been happier watching a manager leave. Even more than fsw. Steady on, it wasn't that bad.
May 15, 201610 yr The thing is, who could have done a better job as an interim that we realistically could have signed on short notice? I think our options then were very limited.
May 15, 201610 yr Although hiss second reign has forgettable, I will always remember this and will always love Guus.
May 15, 201610 yr So sad. Nothing extraordinary achieved. Count the number of two points dropped in last 15 mins of games and we'll have a total putting us firmly in Europe. Even though nothing to play for when obvious we couldn't be there any more why not play the kids and let the fans and new manager see what they can do. The rebuilding will start next season and the chance to make it easier was not taken. Think he was more concerned about keeping his good record in place than anything else. Because though Mourinho had a car crash of a season if he was manager we would have come out of our slumber. Especially as it would have meant the primadonna players didn't have their way and they would have sat up as would have known the choice was to do that or leave the club. We will hear critics say team was running on fumes last season grinding out 1 goal wins but at least he could grind those type of results out and they do make a big difference eventually.
May 15, 201610 yr Facninated to wonder what would of happened if Jose wasn't sacked. I'd have a hard time buying that it would of had clicked into gear one day. At the same time, I think the threat of relegation would of been enough to motivate the players. We'll always wonder eh.
May 15, 201610 yr Was a poor appointment by the club, he's had a bad record since leaving Chelsea six years ago and shouldn't have been bought back. Should have either appointed Steve Holland till the end of the season or bought in someone with a better recent record, preferably in club management.
May 15, 201610 yr One home league win in five months...pathetic...we'd have been better off with steve Holland and Eddie Newton in charge...after all they matched his winning tally in one game (Sunderland)
May 15, 201610 yr Steady on, it wasn't that bad. His home form was worse (but admittedly won more away)
May 15, 201610 yr Apparently, Guus isn't really going anywhere. He said after the match today that he'll be back to help out with the academy.
May 16, 201610 yr Ingrates. Thanks Guus Not really...yesterday I stood up and applauded a chelsea coach who made a real impact at the club in Claudio...I applauded Guus in 2009 too... not quite sure what I have to be grateful for Hiddink this time around though...one home league win? A dismal fa cup exit to woeful Everton side that's just sacked their manager? Home and away defeats to a PSG side in champs Lge that were knocked out by a city side that scraped into top four and comfortably beaten by Real Madrid? The lack of starts for youth players even though we had nothing to play for? Finishing 10th below Stoke? Apparently I'm supposed to be doing cartwheels cos things weren't quite as bad as the first four months of the season...well whoopty doo...that's like tuning into the weather and getting excited cos he tells you it will be 2 degrees Celsius the next day instead of 0.. Of course he's not only one to blame and shows players have been consistently below par all season...but also, not going to give any credit to Hiddink where none is due
May 16, 201610 yr Amazingly we had the longest unbeaten run of any team in the premier league this season. 15 games under HIddink. We weren't great but he made us harder to beat.
