baba was at fault there but Courtois didn't exactly fly out to meet Long did he? Tibo's not having a great game so far

 

He hasn't been getting anything right since he returned. He either comes off his line too quickly or not quick enough. He is also looking weak from set pieces.

Not really, we were containing them well, that is the first time they have got in.

They have been catching us on the break, you could see them grabbing a goal like that.

Get Traore up front with Costa, we've got nothing up front and Costa has to keep coming deep because nobody can get the ball to him

Poor first half from us. We were containing them well before the goal but going forward we are too slow and not creating anything. Movement isn't good enough, the players don't look strong enough to take on Southampton's defence and we aren't shooting.

Proves why baba was never picked before Terry's injury. Seems like a liability at the back

Mikel has done his duties perfectly well.

Now you all know why Baba doesn't start, not composed or good enough defensively.

Courtois deserves to be dropped, performances have been poor since injury.

ehm? you watched the first half? Nothing to complain about.  

Such a sloppy 45 minutes, the whole team showed very little desire to get a result. We were coasting along, didn't play too badly, but never looked like creating anything, and crossing was just awful. As for the goal, I tend to go easy on Baba, it was bad but that's the type of thing you expect from a young player. If we axe everyone after costing a goal, we wont have any young players playing for the team. I'm more disappointed in his attacking display, absolute nothing. He's not coming forward, providing the over lap, and putting in the crosses. He looked shell shocked with the mistake, someone better have a word or 2 with him.

Yeah, Baba made a mistake. How many mistakes did Ivanovic, Fabregas, Cahill, Matic make and we lost our games because of that? Give this lad a confidence, it's just matter of time. We don't have players in the central, all Southampton's attacks come from there. Hazard, Willian and Oscar aren't helping enough to the defence.

Hazard's been invisible once again, Courtois and Baba poor, Mikel's been slow and laboured, Willian's not one hundred percent sharp.

I think Fabregas has been the only real bright spot so far.

Get Loftus-cheek and Traore on.

i'd stick with Baba at LB if only because it allows Dave to play RB and Ivan looks much more the part in the centre. Baba's a young kid, he's learning the Premier League and he'll now know that Long is quick to pounce on errors like that - I'd trust Baba not to make the same mistake twice, We've got to give young players a chance.  

Need to stop f**king around, trying to score the perfect goal and put in some crosses and have some shots. It's so boring to watch us pass, pass, pass, pass, lose the ball.
