I don't care how poor Villa are, to win 4-0 away is a great result. Shows just how far we've come in the last few weeks

Nice win for the boys especially with the kids and a couple of newbies.....Villa players just look like they don't want to be there....the dressing room must be toxic..I hope both Sunderland and Newcastle go down with them 

Derby finished that season on. 11 points but I really don't remember them being as bad as that villa team.

On a brighter note, great performance by us, all of the young players didn't look out of place, so I appreciate this is the worst team in the league but still for the young guys to come in and not miss a step is fantastic!

Yes only 1 win against Newcastle in September 2007. I think they're worse than this Aston Villa side but Villa are giving them a run for their money.

Nice to win this game and to see the boys have a routine victory today! The opposition was poor but there's still positives to come away from that.

 

Hopefully we can build on from it.

One of the worst matches I've seen in a while. Villa were just f**king terrible. Fabregas had no pressure on him at all. Well done to Pato on debut. Pedro was also excellent.

Great performance by everyone well done you blues and Ruben looked abit knackered in 2nd half but still great performance by him

Villa are a terrible side but it feels good to get a big win and there were positives to take away.

 

Pato did well in his first game, Pedro was excellent and the rest put up a good performance too.

 

Glad to see at least 3 youngsters play today. Would love to see RLC feature in more games by the way.

I was at my Nephew's 1st birthday party so i had to watch this in and out on mobile. From what i could see, everyone had a pretty solid game. Courtois come up with 1 or 2 good saves but still looked dodgy now and again. Miazga looked like he slotted into the team well, he didn't look out of place from what i could see. Pedro and RLC looked good too. Villa are absolute sh*te, i wish we could play them every game. Hutton is a prick, how he could moan about being sent off is laughable, he went in to hurt RLC and he was lucky it wasn't a straight red.

Good win, good performance against a sh*t Villa side, Debutants did themselves no harm Miazga solid, Pato showed some glimpses a bit lightweight though, RLC excellent with the ball not so much without it and Pedro was class.

i wouldn't read anything from that game too much, considering how atrocious villa were
playing like that they might not even survive championship

however, today's game had many positives for us
debut for pato, miazga, and clarke-salter
minutes for kenedy and RLC

and of course, three points

on a side note, is just me or was pato really slow? even slower than costa

Pato did look very pedestrian. If Costa had gone in half as bad as some of their Shi. He would def. have got a straight red + all the other carp the fa love to give him. The pundits and press won't mention that either. And as for the woose who got his ear touched jeez.

I was at the game. Oscar was beyond woeful. I pray that he gets sold. Kenedy was another poor player on the pitch today. Full credit to Guus for making the sub at half time, it's just a shame it was for Oscar.

I suppose it's come on Liverpool v spuds
