I like Guus, but i genuinely can't wait for him to go.  Sounds real harsh but im tired of his team selections, false promises with youth, and the constant attitude of trying the same 11 and formations every. single. week.      

 

Said earlier in his reign i thought Steve Holland was doing the team selection. If he isn't then try something new at least for the last 2 games, f**k all to lose

What are we actually learning by playing Mikel/Ivanovic/Matic/Cahill in these matches? We know what they can (or rather can't) do. Any other club would be bedding in youngsters- it just so also happens that we have the best youth team in Europe...you couldn't really make it up. I get that other teams have things to play for, but when you see the sh*t served today you would be hard pressed to say they'd do any worse.

 

If we pick the same XI vs Liverpool and Leicester at best I would be passive if we lost, at worst I would think it might actually push some of our passengers closer to the exit. What a grim season.

don't be harsh. he did a good job steadying the ship. however past that he hasn't really deliver what we expected

Initially I backed him, as for now? Disgusted and fed up would sum up my feelings. At best his team selections and set up can be described as lazy, he's just carrying on as we were before. I think cowardly might be more accurate. The last few weeks have been a perfect opportunity for experimentation. Try a different formation, give some fringe players more time on the pitch. But no, same sh*te week after week.

 

I don't know whether to look to next season with excitement or dread.

anything over £65m and i think nearly everyone this forum would sell Hazard.  Costa wants to go back to Spain, dont think there is any denying that.  £40-45m and id let him.

Oh and players will join us despite no European football.

Come on, this season has been crap (except ending Spuds hopes for a title), but saying that bringing Guus was a waste of time is not very accurate. He is the one that led this crap team out of the relegation battle, or are we forgetting where we were? I don't agree with Hiddink's team choices in occasions like today, and I wished he would take more chances with the youngsters now, but he got us in safe position after being on relegation places. So I think it was a good move to bring him when the Club did.

Hmm. Newcastle might go down with the high cholesterol manager and Everton might sack Martinez. Probably not a total disaster of a day [emoji1]

SHAMBOLIC. Top to Bottom, everything is in a downward spiral at this club. Manager has been atrocious to say the least. Guss will no longer be remembered as the person who saved our season once. More like the person who just continued the club's downward spiral and sent us into the abyss.

I was thinking about that too. The final few games i see no youth. One problem i can see with playing too much youth in this game is that if we lose then the other relegation teams will blame us for fielding a weakened team and FA will fine us. But not even one is shocking.

Liverpool won Swansea with their u21 squad, Man United won games with 7 young players + Martial. 

 

I don't ask for 11 young players, 2-3 players should have minutes, should to play and prove themselves.

I was glad Guus steadied the ship and got us out of the relegation zone but now I can't wait for him to go. He's run out of ideas and like the rest of us, seems he can't wait for the season to be over. So long Guus, lets put this nightmare season behind us and look forward to the next chapter.................

I am actually glad Conte is bringing in an entire new coaching team. I have no idea what our lot do at Cobham that produces such turgid football. Just watched the Leicester game ... Chalk and cheese to us ...
