I bet you can't do it

Nah mate, I can... Any one whose plays decently even in their own city can... but not with their weaker foot though... thats something i didn't think about..

If we are this excited over a training ground trick imagine when he scores his first goal

But honestly what an acquisition he is big, pacey, can dribble, has 2 good feet, great finish, good in the air and is very technical.

I'm getting paranoid incase he can't find his scoring stride...when he starts banging in the goals I'll be a very happy Chelsea supporter.

Thats exactly what i was thinking! Very excited over him, but really think Bats should start the opening game with what he's shown so far... unless Morata does really well against Inter.

Go do it, video it. Last season we did a test of curling it in from the corner quadrant without bouncing, barely anyone managed it and we have some outstanding footballers. So to do it from behind the byline is definitely not easy.

I can't work out in my head what's harder, because from the byline you have less distance to curl it back from but you don't need to set it out as far, from behind the byline you have to set it out further but it doesn't need to curl as far back because the goal is infront of where you're starting from, it's been bothering me ever since you posted about it

edit* asked my mate that played semi pro for years and takes corners for his team, he said at first from behind is easier, but depends if there is a bounce or not if it bounces in line it is easier, then he says depends on the foot and technique, on your good foot behind is easier if it's with the outside of your foot then behind is much harder...ffs I'm no clearer

Most players could do it with bounces, doing it without bouncing is incredibly difficult. I managed form the corner but it took me about 20 goes I think ha ha. Tried from behind the line and just couldn't do it.

Hazard looks threatened. LOL! I'm kidding. Seriously, these young legs will be problematic for defenders.

That's funny as I thought Hazard was not looking at their faces suggesting he was thinking and probably something like this,

'Merde, if they hit it off with Pedro and Willian I might surplus to requirements!'

I think I am excited and disturbed in equal measure from that video ... Luiz with a man bun ?

There's a difference between the abomination that is a man bun, and a bloke with long hair just tying it back. Thankfully Luiz is the latter

Sorry pal, got 2/3, no time for a man-bun. Even less for "top knots". Would rather shave it all off.

Yeah but the rugged bloke your describing would tie his hair back with barbed wire not some fancy bobble from Clair's accessories and wouldn't be doing it for the 'image' as he lives in a hut with 3 bears and 7 wolves

Hope we don't go into the new season with Morata on one of the wings just so we can squeeze him and Michy onto the pitch at the same time.

If we did we would be in big trouble.  The guys a striker and that's where he is suited to. Tinkering like that won't work IMO.

Most why we require a left winger who can be called upon when Hazard is out.

Exactly, seemed strange doing it in pre-season. Either play Bats OR Morata or try and tinker the formation into more of Conte's Juve 3-5-2 with both Morata and Michy up top.

We don't have the players right now for a 3-5-2 in our spine.  It would require we play our only trustworthy CMs and our only trustworthy forwards, all at the same time.  And it would potentially leave out willian and/or pedro

Pedro has been injured and i'd happily lose Willian for Fabregas personally. Playing with someone like Pasalic in the middle is the same risk as when we've been playing with Boga in attack.

Conte signaling he could play him as a number 10 until Haz is back, anyone get the feeling that Conte is trying to show him you don't just walk into the number 9 role because you were expensive...maybe he thinks making him earn his spot from the start will make him a better player and relieve some pressure, who knows..

I think its just desperation because with Pedro and Hazard both out he doesn't have many options left. Not sure why he doesn't just go with Willian and Musonda though.

Quote

Conte: “In this moment this could be a possibility because when you have Hazard and Pedro injured I tried this. I don’t see other options. You only have Willian and for this reason I try to find these combinations. This could be an option for me.”
