I think Belotti would be excellent, he's fast, he can dribble, he can pass, he can shoot, he's very good in the air and... he's italian :).

If he's Conte's first choice then he'll do for me...Emanuldo can concentrate on buying youth players and leave the big signings to the grown ups...

Lukaku is still going to Chelsea apparently. His first touch took him to Man United for a minute but he's back on track now.

Just another embarrassment for our negotiating team.... not sure about this Granovskisomething bird at all.

Yea marina hasn't been doing well for herself recently, too eager to play hardball and swing dicks with the boys, if we are paying 50, 60, 70 mil don't destroy a deal to save a couple of mil here or there. I think she could have got us Sandro, koulibaly and now lukaku for most likely a grand total of 15-20 mil extra that she negotiated, in the end will it cost us more not having the players, paying off a manager's contract will cost more than that, loss in prize money, revenue generated by big names, all for the price of a youth player...don't get this hard ball stance other than trying to prove herself. 

It's everywhere now - seems like he's gone.  

 

This transfer window has been an absolute embarrassment so far, all we got was a big stinkin Willy.

To be fair if she's presented with a £100m fee for Lukaku then I'm glad she walked away...don't want to get involved ever again with Eversh*te over a player...my dream woud be that they are left with both Lukaku and Barkley on the books and a big black hole in their finances...

When last did we pay "stupid money" for anyone? Last time that happened was 2011. 6 years ago. Not sure what point you're making. We've hardly had any deals over 32m since then.

Yeah it's about balance. We always seem to get good numbers from defenders, and last year pedro and hazard stepped up, which meant costa's 19 goal haul was enough. 

I really miss that defence in 04/05 though. We would score one goal and never be in danger of conceding. 

jim white is well connected with moshiri at Everton, and he is insisting there is no deal, been told from the man at the top.

 

Cynic in me thinks its been leaked to hurry us up,  no denying Lukaku wants us.  If us and utd both agreed fees, he'd walk to London and sign for us

This is a shambles from the club that a player who looked nailed on for a return is beiong left go to a rival after what seems like 10mins of organising the deal.

Drogba and Hazard both name checked Lukaku in a possible return to Chelsea, its now the 6th of July and hes Utd bound for less than what was reported, 65m with add ons.

The fact we're left with an unhappy and want away Costa and a questionnable Batshauyi is embarassing. I'm not one for hyperbole but if the club doesnt get its finger out soon we'll be left behind by our rivals.

Lukaku made perfect sense, the only other PL CF better than him right now is Kane. Morata is a risky gamble and Beoltti has had 1 good season, Giroud isnt good enough for Arsenal and Llorente is a joke shop signing.

I real fear for this season and we're only in the first week of July.

If we're willing to pay £60m for a left back (which isn't necessary) and not 20-30m more for a striker (which i would say is necessity with costa leaving) it doesn't add up to me 

I don't believe the club will buy Belloti, Aubameyang, all the big name and top class strikers if Lukaku does indeed sign for Man Utd.

It's all down to the fees demanded.

It's Llorente as first choice striker.  Another deal done to the satisfaction of Marina & co, Conte and fans be damned.

I'm not concerned. He never looked like Conte type striker.

No offence but you are extrapolating all this from transfer rumours and a bunch of made up numbers from reporters all trying to pretend  they know more than the next one. And the conclusion at the end about trying to prove herself, really? That is pretty damn in depth and personal conclusions you are drawing. She has been doing her job for ages now I'm sure she knows a thing or two, and definitely knows its not as easy as chucking another 10 mil into bids.

I agree but the market dictates the price not just us, if someone else is willing to pay that's the market value, I wouldn't spend 75 on Lukaku no way, but that's me apparently we wanted him so she should have got him,  I would pay 60 for Sandro though all day.
