August 15, 20169 yr Relax mate. In Pre-Season there wasnt much between Oscar and cesc. And if theres one game Ivanovic will do ok, its physically against Carroll and co. Carroll usually scores against us.
August 15, 20169 yr Very attacking bench as well with Fabregas, two wingers and two centre forwards. Tongue in cheek? Why does everyone assume that RLC is now a certified forward?
August 15, 20169 yr I don't know why but I believed that Aina would start, but Ivanovic is undroppable, so let's leave it. Anyways, let's open the league with the right leg, COME ON CHELS!!!! Edited August 15, 20169 yr by IliyaKrostin
August 15, 20169 yr Blimey...how disappointing is that team selection? It's the same sterile, vanilla selection as we saw last season from Uncle Guus...and how is Ivanovich still on this squad let alone starting line up...Jeez
August 15, 20169 yr Its a strange one, on the one hand oscar gets a start because he did well in preseason, but then chalobah and aina dont get starts despite impressing. Im most disappointed that Fabregas isnt starting though, i know its meant to be a fresh start for the players this season, but matic and oscar shouldnt be in the team ahead of him, especially as both have been poor for 18 months. Still none of it matters as long as we put in a decent performance and get the win, i just think we are relying on players that we unreliable last season, so it makes me apprehensive to say the least. Come on boys, lets turn this lot over. Agreed. I think we will struggle to create in the middle of the park without Cesc. He's far more creative than the likes of Oscar
August 15, 20169 yr I know this is a long shot but would anyone know of any bars/pubs that I could watch the game at in Split?
August 15, 20169 yr I think what's more important is not the fact that he's picked more or less the same team has last season (bar kante ) but wether or not he's got them fireing on all cylinders from the start... KTBFFH
August 15, 20169 yr Happy with the team. Come on you blues. Ps. No Caudrado? I'm liking Conte more and more. Would rather see Cuadrado than Moses.
August 15, 20169 yr Let's see how it goes. If we are still as awful as last season, then we can start moaning about the team selection.
August 15, 20169 yr LOL Courtois ; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry © , Azpilicueta ; Kante ; Willlian , Oscar , Matic Hazard ; Diego Costa Same as at Bremen that's his first 11 at the moment.
August 15, 20169 yr Would rather see Cuadrado than Moses. Are you trying to make me put you on ignore?
August 15, 20169 yr Let's see how it goes. If we are still as awful as last season, then we can start moaning about the team selection. This ^^^^
August 15, 20169 yr Pretty sad really...nothing new and exciting going on at the Bridge..same ol sh*te different day...............still lets see if the result is any different before we call for the manager to be hung drawn and quartered....but Ivan at RB again...OFFS. He will leave wide open spaces for West Ham to exploit I fear a goal feast ..lets just hope we are on the right side of the score line.
August 15, 20169 yr Not going to lie, heart sank a bit when I saw that team , mostly because it was very predictable. Same team plus Kante, same formation plus kante We know the defense is past it, Great expirnece and everyone of them to a man deserves upmost respect but I just can't see good things happening with all 3 starting
August 15, 20169 yr Let's see how it goes. If we are still as awful as last season, then we can start moaning about the team selection. Far too sensible for a match day. Where's your pessimism?
August 15, 20169 yr So... minus Kante it's basically August 2015... with arguably an even worse defence. No Zouma. No one on the bench. And the aging backline one year older. I will reframe from my prediction. Nice to see Aina and Moses on the bench. Edited August 15, 20169 yr by Jon Stakes
August 15, 20169 yr Ivanovic is going to get f**ked up in this game as usual. I just can't see it, I really can't, he's well past his sell by date. He can't cross and he can't run, as a full back both are very f**king important.
August 15, 20169 yr The good news is no Payet. But Ayew Carroll and even Valencia should enjoy this one. No one is going to be frightened of us.
August 15, 20169 yr No, it really isn't. It's arguably worse with Cahill Ivanovic and Terry all a year more in there legs. Edited August 15, 20169 yr by Jon Stakes
