Transfer window has been a bit disappointing, like last season, also I don't expect miracles from Conte with the same players as last year (except 2)

 

Appears CFC has left its ambition to win trophies in their accountants litter bin - hope I'm wrong and 1 or 2  more players come in, especially in the back 4 positions,

Mancs are the real league players now with their combined spending, IMO keep up or fall by the wayside like dippers and gooners.

 

Above all just chuffed to bits the prem is back !!!

If we lose this match it might result in Conte spending real money to strengthen the defence. But if we win Conte might still ignore our defensive flaws and continue the Lukaku pursuit.

As for me, i desperately want a win in our first match and a strong start because i dont want us to ever be behind United on the table this season.

 

I think you are being unfair towards Conte. If we casual observers are able make this observation, I am sure an astute manager like him too will be able to as well.

I am predicting a 3 - 2 Chelsea victory.  People are going to fall back in love with Hazard and Costa. Matic will be largely invisible which is an improvement over being visible and terrible, Kante will be the second coming of Makalele.

1st game is very important to win because if we don't and our rivals do then it will be difficult for our players psychologically .. we seem like vulnerable to setback.. quality is there, motivation is there but self confidence is quite fragile.. I think we'd look awesome in the early minutes for this game, whether we can maintain it for full 90 minutes is yet to be seen..

Let's hope for a bright positive start compared to last year, which was a total shambles.

It is vital to pick up points and have a good start to the season. As playing catch up is not easy.

I am hopeful that we can outscore them but it is hard to imagine us keeping a clean sheet. I won't be surprised to see a few goals in this game. Maybe 3-2. So 0-0 it is then ;)

It was the same 2 years ago, we started against Burnley and won 3-1, hopefully the same happens again. We won't keep a clean sheet, that bar steward Carroll loves scoring against us

Why? are they blind or they just see something that we don't? you know there's even a pundit who put ivanovic as 1 of the best defender last season so a combination of the so called pundit and big name experienced managers on ivan side would be like a justified decision, right?

You know, they're professional so they know better and blah blah blah, who are we to question them etc bullsh*t, ooh, there will be fans who do that

 

The most logical explanation is loyalty even though I think it's silly but that only apply to the previous 2 managers.. Conte is a fresh start so he shouldn't be tied with that nonsense.. We'll see how conte does in the next 3 games..

Last day to wait! I'm very positive about us tomorrow, maybe we didn't have the best pre-season but I believe in our players. Most important thing is to stay as a team all the 90 minutes.

I just watched Conte's presser and I liked it. Clearly we are looking for new players but the prices are crazy. I'm pretty sure we end up either with Koulibaly or Lukaku or both. Maybe even some other names but Rom will back Conte.

He is very likeable as said before. He clearly knows what to say and what not to say and is very well prepared. I'm pretty much amazed how well he understands english after just half a year of learning.

We are in very good hands under him.

This game will most probably be a draw or a win for us. At home and after a string of good results against good sides.
