Man City Vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 3/12 2016 KO 12:30 GMT

Call me a pessimist but I don't think we'll win this one.

No, you are just being realistic! Honestly I won't be pissed if we lose this match because our team have already surpassed my expectations for this month.

Got a good feeling about this one.

City 1 - 3 Chelsea. No one need to worry about Guardiola tactically, he's never changed his ways, the one trick pony. Conte will destroy him.

Tough game and for City too.The teams at the top will all take points off of each other this season. We just have to keep our consistentsy and we will be fine.I like the team spirit we are showing and we dont lie down.We have the right man at the helm.

I'd honestly settle for a point here if offered it. We're going to be up there in the mix with City and Liverpool come the end of the season and City have to come to us later in the season.

A win would of course be amazing and would make a serious statement but City are no slouches despite their sometimes indifferent form.

2-2

Chelsea: Hazard, Costa

City: Aguero, KDB

Don't see any reason to be negative for this game. Our game against Spurs wasn't at our best, but we still did win that. City have to worry more than us, both of us have good strikers, both of us have a strong midfield, but we have a big bonus in our attack. Moses and Alonso who are going to be one of our most important players for this game. I'm feeling very positive for this game, I think we're showing a good football and we can play against every team without fearing.

We can give them a lesson.

Difficult one to call this.

Going forward they are outstanding when they have all of their first teamers on the pitch. Gundogan has settled in very well and we all know about KDB, Silva and Aguero. Not sure if Sterling will start this one as he had a pretty woeful game against Burnley so there's a chance Navas could come in.

Defence is definitely their weakest point. John Stones has taken a fair few pummellings from the media this season and they don't really seem to keep too many clean sheets. I saw Kolarov on Saturday and his distribution from the back was atrocious; not sure if he'll play but if he does we should make pressing him into awful passes a priority.

They gave us two really awful beatings last season. The first, two weeks in at the Etihad really set the tone for what was to be a shambolic season. The second, at our ground, in my opinion was more depressing because it showed just how inferior we were to them at that point in time after winning the league at a canter the previous year. We've come a long way so I'm proud of the boys no matter what; but they've got a big game Saturday lunchtime and it's gonna take a great performance to get a win. Would happily take a draw

We must go out to win this game, no talk of accepting a draw, we're on a run of 7 straight league wins, if we beat city we could threaten the record of 14 straight league wins (ars 02). I know records are not silverware, but they keep the players focused on keeping the momentum going.

I think we'll win 3-1, defensively City aren't that great and with a focused Costa along side the attacking threat from Hazard, Pedro and Moses we will be fine. I can't see players like KDB, Sterling, Navas and Nolito being that great tracking our attacking full backs all game, so we can find gaps to create chances.

I was more bothered by City a few years back when they had Tevez, Nasri, Kompany and Toure at the height of their game, Tevez especially used to score against us more often than not.

If we can get through this game unscathed then I think we can make a big statement in the fixtures after to really cement our lead at the top.

If we sit back from the off, attempting to soak it up and try just to hit them on the break, I think they will punish us good and proper.

Appreciate they are at home and is a hard place to get a result but we really need to take the game to them if we stand a chance.

A win would be fantastic obviously and could really stamp our authority on the league this season, however I'd take a draw now. Although I would be gutted, a loss wouldn't be the end of our title hopes.

I have been least impressed with City out of the current top 5, Spurs demolished them and they've been lucky not to lose more games than they have currently. I would love to get some payback for last seasons thumping's

0-3 away win

I think they're one of those inconsistent teams that play crap against the bottom sides but step up when they're playing a top side. They beat Barcelona 3-1 and drew 1-1 with some lower placed team. On their day they can smash anyone and on Saturday they will be on their day.

A draw will be a fantastic result for us.

I see a Chelsea win!   Come on Chelsea!!!  4-2 to Chelsea.

Hazard 2 Pedro, Diego to score!  I expect a slow start but chelsea will pick it up and run at these guys.  Our mid will have a better game than the Spurs one where Dembele and Wanyama were really strong!

Buzzing and confident!

I'm actually more afraid of playing Sunderland away than going to the Etihad TBH.

I think we'll beat City, in fact, I reckon Guardiola will be more worried about us than Conte will about them.  They've a fantastic side and shouldnt be under estimated at any cost bu tI think the confidence and more importantly the heart and desire they showed against Spurs showed this team is capable of coming from a goal down and winning a very tough game.

Ideally we'll take the lead and force City out, you only have to look at some of their draws recently and terrible defending to realise you will get a chance off this team you must make sure you finish it and that you're still in the game.

The city team will probably be

-----------------Bravo----------------

Sagna--Stones--Otamendi--Clichy

-------------Fernando ----------------

Silva-----KDB------Toure-----Nolito

---------------Aguero----------------

Sterling is doubtful for the game as he came off but he can easily slot into the starting XI.

I think we can beat them anyway and I dont think they have the players to deploy a press like Spurs or Pool, cant wait for it.

If we win at the Etihad too, its a statement win and will throw down a marker, I still think we'll probably get derailed by f**king Sunderland though. :o

I like the optimism in the crowd, always a good sign. I do have to admit I am slightly jealous that so many are so confident we will win! I really hope we can keep this form and results coming. Although the only minor problem with a win this weekend is the classic 'favourites' label will be firmly back on us once more.

I imagine Man City will have seen how Spurs got at us first half by closing us down high up the pitch and do more of the same. We may have to rely on counter attacks for the majority of the game, as I can see them dominating possession. I'd certainly take a draw.

I'm sure Conte and our players saw how Spurs got at us also, and I assume we won't just hope that doesn't happen again, that's the first game we struggled and we still turned it around, it's part of the learning curve, it's a positive thing that we learned that lesson and still came out with 3 points.

Usually id bite hand off for a point at Ethiad and ofcourse it won't exactly be the end of the world but with the form we are in we should be looking at cashing in on that.

Delighted with the win against the Spuds. Here is the crystal ball predictions for another big match against Manchester City. They are, as usual, outrageous:

Chelsea (3-4-3): Courtois; Luiz, Cahill, Mikel (c); Ivanovi?, Mati?, Willian, Azpilicueta; Pedro, Hazard, Oscar
Subs: Bulka, Terry, Loftus-Cheek, Fábregas, Kanté, Alonso, Costa

Prediction: Manchester City 0-0 Chelsea

Where to start (as usual)? Mikel captains from centre half, with Ivanovi? and Azpilicueta playing as wing backs. There is no room for Moses in the entire squad, while Kanté, Alonso and Costa sit the bench again. For some unknown reason, Marcin Bulka, despite being the under 18 goalkeeper, makes the bench. In spite of all this, as has been the case in crystal ball land, we pull off a good result against the odds, holding Manchester City at home to a 0-0 draw. I think we can go and win this one though. Go, Blues!

Cahill has captained Chelsea in Terry's absence . I feel there's too much love for Mikel here , isn't it . ha ha

I wouldn't start mikel in this game . He hasn't played any PL game so far & with Kante doing a very good job at pressing the opposition , i wouldn't drop him now , Certainly not for this ManCity game .

Matic will be the only CDM and that would mean a complete change of formation to what were playing now ....

With Willian , Hazard , Pedro and Oscar up forward , were you suggesting a False 9 ? If thats what you meant , then Fabregas should play in the staring XI mate . He'd provide a good lot of through balls for these lads to score .

With Ivano as wingback , we're losing out on trickery and pace . He's capable of good deliveries from the right side into the D , but i would happily see him play as one of the 3 CBs .

Very ambitious indeed ! I'd fancy your playing XI to go up against a mid-table side , not a top opposition at this stage :)

Its mostly going to be a draw . Pep nor Conte would want to lose this one , i dont see a killer game .

Now its fine for Costa to pick up a yellow card . Once we're done with City , we wont need to face any of the big ones for a while .

Get Michy some play time too :)
