Chelsea are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the January transfer window, Sky Sports News understands.

Antonio Conte rates the forward highly, and revealed last Friday that he tried to sign the then Udinese player when he was Juventus manager.

Chelsea are yet to make a formal offer for Sanchez, but they do have a history of flying under the radar when it comes to signing players

He's only 1 year younger and as you said he's "faster" but what? We get his speed for 2-3 years before it declines.

When we can clearly see in retrospect, he's been going to Chelsea all along.

you forgot to counter the cheaper point  I get it more songs for Sanchez, but for me Auba would be better & fans can make a name for him like they did for Dave & Frank

That twitter snippet is also the bloke who said Griezmann was a done deal every window for the past two years.

We'll see - need more than some ITK twitter user to substantiate it though.

Cheap? He'd be £50m and on similar (a bit lower) wages.
Plus he's not eligible for the Champions' League and isn't Prem proven.

I think Arsenal want a player above money and Utd offered that, what I don't get is Chelsea's bid, we don't do PR like that it's got to be another attempted hijacking.

If we can offer a player better than Mhki which is easy then we stand a chance, but Wenger talked about him leaving within 48 hours which means they must've accepted the United bid already and he is talking to them, might be too late in any case.

We have a history of hijacking players it's got to be part of the clubs strategy. I don't believe this as a PR exercise to appease fans like Arsenal do. Chelsea have never done that.

I think it's 90% likely he's Utd bound and Mkhitaryan will be going the other way. I don't think we will pay his wages, if City don't want to pay him then we won't for sure. 

I think the ponytail is more likely than this....

i desperately hope the rumours linking to us are true...

however i think it could be our board trying to tell conte .."see we tried but the player wanted to go to manchester...
