i really do not think that jose will be looking forward to this, he certainly aint the jose of old

To be honest if I was a Manchester Utd fan this game wouldn't really be that important. They've already won a domestic cup trophy and are in the hunt for a European trophy they've never won which could also put them in the champions league. For us it's very important as winning the double after last season would be fantastic. Means more to us than it does to them I think.

But I'm sure Jose would also love nothing more than getting some sweet revenge. 

Jose stirring up the pot again about Chelsea being 'defensive', it's laughable, unnecessary and I hope he repeats that statement after we beat them 3:0. He's probably still angry we didn't pass the ball 12 times in our own half before we scored the first minute goal against him last time around. I don't think Conte or any of the players will buy into that mind game, all the players are so used to his trash talking. I don't care what team they bring to town, if we play our usual standard with the core of the first 11, we will win this.

Feeling confident...

My prediction = Chelsea 2-1 Man Utd.

Hazard had his best season at Chelsea chasing full backs so in the end he done ok. Wow really. PSG is a big team in Europe. When last were they in the semis of the champions league? I am not just having a dig at him bcoz we are playing united. I am calling him a c**t bcoz of all the mind games and negative stuff he has been saying about us. Its obvious he is jealous, all other coaches in the top 6 praise or at least acknowledge us , but Jose in c**tish ways keeps on hating and  that is why i am having a dig at him. Why would it hurt me if Chelsea smash Utd, I actually think it will be a comfortable evening. You really sound like you have taken over Konkais attitude towards Mourinho? Coming out with the fan club stuff you sound just like him. Did you even bother reading the article or just done the usual take one paragraph out and jump on the high horse. There's no harm in respecting Mourinho and not being bothered what other people say about Chelsea whether it's good or bad, good things can be mind games too.

TBH I don't understand the different kind of football comment because I guess most fans would put success over style. For all we know he could be commenting on the board and on his return to Chelsea he was asked to play a more expansive way of football and at the moment lets be honest Chelsea are not an attacking force like Barca, Arsenal, Liverpool or City. He is 100% correct in saying Chelsea are very good defensively and they are a fantastic counter attacking team. I don't see the problem in what he is saying. Is that what really winds you up? Lol. That's nothing compared to real mind games.

I have heard many pundits say Chelsea are a counter attacking team including even last week and this weekend. The defence is outstanding. There's nothing bad about it, no point in being defensive. You play the system/style which suits the players you have. Chelsea like to get the first goal then will defend and hit on the counter. It's not attacking football like the best in Europe but it's efficient, machine like and an art in football itself. I actually do find it enjoyable to watch in how effective it is. What I meant is I don't find it enjoyable compared to a team who plays an attacking style.

Just because I can look at things abit more logical and sometimes take off the biased glasses doesn't make me a Mourinho fanboy. 

 

Hearing the injury news coming out today Chelsea have a really good opportunity to progress and should get through quite comfortably. Utd played Thursday and have to play again this Thursday. Fellaini playing would be a right bonus, I think he is an awful player. If he does start I can see Young playing to put in the crosses. They could even move Valencia forward as him and Young would really compliment Fellaini.

You are just referring to what he said this weekend. I am talking about what he said a month ago when the draw was made, and also the little jibes he has been throwing our way.. If you think the mind games started this weekend then i guess you missed the plot. He has been throwing jibes for the past 6 weeks. It started with they only play counter attack and score set pieces and yet everyone calls them amazing. Then when the draws were made he said we are solid DEFENSIVE team who are dangerous with couter attack. I called you a fan boy because you gave the impression that you dont see us winning the league next year while we are in Europe. Actually Jose got lucky that psg knocked us out early or may be we wont have won the league.. Either way i am just a passionate fan defending my club from negative people. I remember Jose calling Wenger a Voyeur for always talking about chelsea, seems like he has caught the virus

the only thing worrying me is Fellaini's bloody elbows 

He could do untold damage to any of our players.

I only mentioned about this weekend because that's where the quote came from. I have been reminded quite a lot about what Mourinho has said and how everything is jibe in the Mourinho thread  I do agree something's are jibes but it goes abit far when some people who think everything that comes out of his mouth is a jibe, even things which are true. It's people perceptions really and even if Mourinho said only positives they would still find negatives so the man can't win. This isn't me defending me but me just giving a different perspective. Like I said I didn't really understand the different kind of football comment.

I'm not being negative by saying Mourinho is 100% right by saying Chelsea are very good defensively. I do feel Chelsea have the best defence in the country, after the start Conte has done a great job working with them. Do I feel Chelsea are an attacking team who play brilliant football, that's a no. Doesn't make me negative. When Mourinho was manager specially in his first spell I loved how strong, ruthless, machine like his team was. People in football recognise it's a football art just as much as playing the Wenger way and getting all the plaudits. Opposition fans find a fault it in but the simple answer is put your trophies on the table. I also love how Contes team does the same, it's an art and there's nothing wrong in being a defensively great counter attacking team. Mourinho is jealous because he loves his teams set up just like that, next season I do feel there be a very dangerous side though.

 

 

With all those players out, i think that nails it that Jose will play for a scrappy 1 goal win.  Hope we can break them down and progress

Replacing Zouma with azpi and GC with ake is a matter of disrespect? I am sorry if that is the case then i find our lack of depth and quality as more disgraceful. Seriously a front 3 of hazard, costa and willian is disrespectful? Azpi and alonso as WBs. zouma, JT, ake as CBs? I find the over-reaction to be quite funny honestly.

Given United are down a few people maybe we should allow players like Ake a fame again.

Don't always believe the news...manure players have travelled separately to games in the past...I think we should play our strongest team like Arsenal and the Spuds have...

a lack of strikers means very little to me; this will still be a tough game.
