Psg and man city have also joined the chase for sandro now

Think they're being used for leverage.

PSG don't need a left back as they have Kurzawa and City are going for Mendy.

Me thinks his agent and Juve are looking for one last big pay day.

Saw it before you posted

I still think we'll get him but it'll be a long wait...

Always is with chelsea only this time ppl are using Nike deal as an excuse, that will only fly till Saturday haha

I have high expectation and was thinking Sandro is a done deal, but now i think he won`t come. Juve won`t let him leave and he will sign new contract.

Their fans all arround the world get crazy mad about Sandro and how Juve is selling their top players year after year and this time the board won`t let him go, to show the fans they are not right.

Pretty sure Sandro won`t have other option, but to sign new deal.

Conte won`t be happy for sure.

The problem i have with the board, is when they see it`s not happening or they want us crazy amout of money, just fu***** move on. There is tons of players out there.

Just do your buisness early and you will have plenty of time to get other men.

They start late, put all of their efforts on one player, at the end they say NO, and we made panic purchase.

I'll tell you what will happen in 3 days willy with a big f**king grin holding up a Nike keepers jersey and not much else

And don't forget the ego factor...big players like to be the centre of attention when they're announced...look at the keepy-uppy pantomime that RM go through when they introduce their big players...can't see Lukaku being happy sharing the stage with Big Willy, 35 and signed on a free...

Your being paranoid.

people are too impatient. sandro is a world class player playing for one of the best clubs who don't want to let him go easily. when you show ambition for top signings, negotiating will take a lot longer. how people expect this to be tied up within a week i can't fathom. this will roll on, no doubt, unless sandro comes out with a comprehensive yes or no to staying or going.

Any player we want to buy should be a player who can improve our squad.

Any such player will need to be a good player.

Good players will be in demand.

Good players who have more than a year remaining on their contract, and do not have release agreements with their clubs will be hard to prise away from those clubs.

If we move on, and I'm sure we do when we consider it's right, we will target another good player, and find ourselves in the same circus again anyway.

We do not have the kind of status which causes players at good clubs to kick up a stink in an effort to force a move here.

The only transfer deals which are done quickly are those that can be done quickly. All the others take time. Sellers have everything to gain, and nothing to loose, by dragging it out. Juve are playing a blinder in the Sandro case.

At least four of last season's top six reportedly were in the market for left backs this summer. Arsenal got one because he was at the end of his contract. I don't rate the player Arsenal got but others around here do, and Wenger obviously thought he was worth a punt. Outstanding or merely adequate, he was only signed quickly because he was available. Meanwhile, City, Liverpool and ourselves seem still to be waiting.

Everyone knew Everton were going to sell Stones to City, that City wanted him and that he wanted to move to the Ethiad. Even so look how long that deal took last summer.

Consider how many people praised City's negotiators as the model we should follow. People cited the capture of Mendy and ridiculed our board for inactivity. Of course those doing the citing made up what they think our people are up to, because the posters themselves have no clue. Anyway, where are the photos of Mendy in City blue? We know City are not shy about announcing a deal, so maybe it's just that they have agreed with Monaco not to make the sale public yet. Maybe, or maybe they have the same hurdles to jump that we do.

People need a more realistic attitude to how transfers of coveted players proceed.

I always find that whole ritual nauseating. Makes me think of a circus animal, how degrading...

Totally agree.....except there always seems a flurry of activity in the last few hours of transfer deadline day, when seemingly deals are done in hours rather than months.

Because then there are cases where either: -

1. Sellers can be sure that buyers really have offered as much as they will, or-

2. Buyers have moved down their list past the players they hoped they might get, past the ones they thought they might have a chance with and arrived at the ones who really are gettable.

This is a quote an hour ago from Janusz Michallik who's a pundit on ESPN...“I think it’s a done deal. There’s some question marks for me at Chelsea. I love him, I have no idea why Juventus would get rid of him."
