Signing Vardy would tick a lot of boxes. Homegrown, able to lead the line alone as well as in a two, pacy, brilliant workrate, at his age it gives a clear path for Tammy Abraham to get into the team in a couple of years. 

I'd be surprised if Leicester would let him go to be honest unless it was a premium fee.

decent signing. Homegrown, works hard, and scores goals. Yes his pace will deteriorate, but we will still get a couple of good seasons out of him hopefully. 

Totally different profile of striker but Belotti would be what we should be looking at - a player that thrives when we dominate games.

Vardy is a small club style player. 

Underwhelmed.

There's no sign of Tourino dropping their price though...can't see this board spanking £80-90m on him much as I like him...

Money shouldn't be an issue.

Bargain bin dipping is what relegated Arsenal to a second rate club.

 

Costa going out frees up wages and would go some way to financing a move for a class center forward.

Vardy works well as an option but lumping balls over the top is a specific situation. Cesc providing those could be interesting, though.

No, Arsene Wenger not adapting to the modern game or doing the honrouble thing and stepping aside is what did it.

Not really a fan of Vardy think he is all pace and little substance granted he did manage to hit a purple patch in Leicesters winning run. 

Plus he doesn't scream good for the clubs public imagine being a known lout and racist.

This isn't really a transfer that enthuses me but I suppose he is an upgrade on Remy.

Also I'm not sure whether he would want to weaken his chances of going to the world cup by moving here and playing 2nd fiddle to Morata and potentially Michy

Vardy is an upgrade on Batshuayi too

If he was cheap enough it's not a bad option, he provides pace and goals. For something like £20-£25m I wouldn't be against it.

Not a comparable profile of striker.

All this talk of Vardy and Drinkwater....and there was I thinking we were one of the top clubs in the world football..............makes me wonder if these are our preferred options.....just can't wait for the 31st to come and go if this is the best we can do these days given the number of players worldwide.

 

 

 

...and yes..like everyone else around here frustrations are creeping in as to how this entire torrid transfer window is being handled leaving the squad in a sorry state.  Still another week left to put a smile on my face...
