I wouldn't write Roma off, they're a good side.

People here overrate English teams WAY too much !!! Pool have faced no one, and that includes Man sh*tty since they've done jacksh*t in the UCL in their history ...

Plus they exposed their lack of defence too!! Roma have a fckuing remontada against Barça ... their confidence is through the roof AND they play the 2nd leg at home again !!! it's for them this year I hope. But RM are still in it and UEFA will push for them to win a 3rd in a row ... Controversial decisions vs Bayern should be expected!

BTW, English football not that good anymore : out of the 5 teams engaged, 3 bowed out as soon as the last 16 !! And if it was not for City v Pool in the QF, there might have been no english team in the semis !!

Is James Rodriguez eligible to play against Madrid despite being on loan from them?

Also, Salah coming up against his ex-club... Will he rise to it or be a bit overwhelmed in Rome? Be interesting to see what sort of reception he is given considering the occasion. Ironically/arguably, Roma appear to be a better team since he has left (some way off the pace in Serie A though).

i think roma could be underrated here. roma beat us and barcelona, and shakhtar donetsk too who aren't an easy side to beat. also, they came back from 4-1 against barcelona away. i do think liverpool have had a fairly easy ride though. their group wasn't that good and then they beat a crap porto side in the round of 16, then played a city side who they already know how to play and have the advantage against in head to head meetings. the roma coach seems to be a very astute tactician, so will be interesting. would love to see roma make it to the final. i still favour bayern munich to win the thing. think they will have too much for real madrid.

Something tells me Roma won't have the devil may care attitude at Anfield that Man City showed. Three down after 30 minutes? Pep, hang your head in shame...imagine that happening to a Mourinho team!

Roma looked pretty good against us and that was before our season really turned to sh*t. It could be a tight tie but I think playing City helped Liverpool in the last round, they've had many good results against City. Roma are going to be a very different proposition - they snuffed out Messi and Suarez, I reckon they could do the same to Salah and co.

UEFA is begging for Liverpool to reach the final.  They have had the easiest road of any team by far.  Even going back to the group stage they had probably the easiest group to get out of.  Then they draw a bottom tier side in group of 16.  Then they draw a team they are intimately familiar with from England (although I will admit the fashion in which they won was surprising). Now they get the worst of the final teams left.  Could not have scripted their opponents any better ::clap2::

Yes he is I think UEFA doesn't allow loan players to be banned. Remember Tibo against us

this is why i feel our 2012 win was impressive. i am bias of course, but to make the comeback vs napoli, then down against barcelona with 10 men and coming back to win that tie at the nou camp, then going on to beat bayern at the allianz, it was very special. also bayern and barcelona were far superior teams then and were supposed to roll over us.

PSG have inflated their FFP numbers and receiving a number of inflated deals.

Oh no who would have guessed :P

It was about time they noticed!

Why would UEFA care about Liverpool? Would make more sense for a Bayern v Madrid final.

I don't think UEFA like English teams at all but Roma were advertising the tickets for this match BEFORE the draw was even made, they even got the dates for the fixtures right.

I would say this is shocking but doesn't surprise me at all, us drawing Liverpool so many times and PSG 3 times in a row? Please
