I'm convinced that was planned. Reading the BBC match thread it was pretty clear that United played with absolutely zero urgency or interest. Jose has certainly done his level best to avoid an Aguero incident and turn it into a very flat event.

Having said that, City contributed themselves by making it the biggest procession there's ever been. It was bloody obvious they'd won it back in October. Another 300 million on transfers this summer and next year will be a repeat, sure as eggs are eggs.

I see what you mean but I think in any other season that we were in top form, we still could have lost those games, so it's not something I will hold against the team. However, we shouldn't be losing to the smaller teams we lost to regardless of our form, the least we should have got was a draw.

We've lost 9 games, you can point to any handful of them really.

So the worst title race (there wasn't one) in living memory is over...seems appropriate that city were gifted the title today by their 'closest' challenger playing like sh*t and losing at home...city are a top side but they've had no competition whatsoever...far too easy.

It will be interesting next year. Liverpoolwill get stronger and if salah jeeps this season form up then they will be a formidable force. I can honestly see spurs regressing. I don't know what will happen with us, but sarri or jarddim it will be interesting.

That was a nice after match interview with Jose.  I like him that way, like his first term with us.

Nauseating listening to NBC commentators saying Pep is the best coach in the world. Yeah, he only needed 500m. He is a very good coach but come on, he just got routed in the CL.

It's not the first time it's happened. It's happened to him with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

It's like i said a few weeks ago, we would never have won the title last season with Guardiola as manager. He would never be able to build a team on limited funds.

He failed at Bayern Munich, they were always in the driving seat to win every domestic trophy there, Dortmund massively declined as Pep joined Bayern. Heynecks Bayern were very dominant not just dominant in possession.

He did build a good team, but with a lot of money, a lot of time and he got tactically outdone by all the 3 Spanish sides where it was kind of embarrassing. Like the time when he played 3 at the back against Messi, Suarez and Neymar and it was a cricket score, and then he got thumped 4-1 by Carlo's Madrid.

I'll admit I didn't think he would win the title this season, I was wrong, very wrong. I thought they would crumble halfway but they did keep their dominance throughout the full season so respect to them. But at the end of the day, he walked into an already built side and had the freedom to spend as much money as he wanted, he spent like 200 million on wingbacks this season because he barely even needed any players. He's a complete chequebook manager, I remember when Jose came here he signed 2 players for absolute bargains, 30 million for Diego Costa, 27 million for Fabregas, then we went on to win the league

I don't think it's fair to call him the best manager ever not even the best manager currently, he's only ever walked into completely safe jobs. I respect him for going to the Premier League where its competitive, but he still walked into the most comfortable side in the league where he can spend as much money as he wants.    

The continued anti climax of this title win is so fitting...seeing kompany in a poxy living room with some of his family members and forcing out a very unconvincing 'yessssss'...him facetiming de Bruyne and Walker to portray some kind of squad excitement...all a bit cringe

The BBC sport home page has had to resort to an artists impression of City players celebrating. As The Brit said, it seems quite fitting that the least interesting season in living memory has ended this nondescript way.

PSV won the league today too. Captained by our very own Marco Van Ginkel. 

PSG won the league also, battering the 2nd placed Monaco 7-1...

They look happy in the pictures but I have to wonder how content they really are winning a one horse race (almost) every year

So city have been crowned champions they fully deserved it.

just looking back at our season we screwed up too many times, and it’s our own fault we won’t finish top4.

Just looking at games were we dropped stupid points at home alone.

 

-Burnley home (-3p)

- Bournemouth (-3p)

- spurs (-3p) 

- west ham -(2p) 

 

 

if if we had taken maximum points from these 4 games we would be currently 2nd or 3rd depending on goal difference.

 

 

this is not even considering our crazy away defeats to watford, palace etc

i saw that and started making me reconsider jardim as our manager. though in fairness people have said he didn't have their best defender last night, and sibide went off injured. on top of that, he's competing with psg this season after losing 4/5 of their first teamers from last season. it's a bit of an uphill struggle given the circumstances. as for psg, it seems players still want to go there though, which is a strange situation considering it's a consistently one sided league.
