I agree, it was a penalty. Might be a bit light but it was the correct call imo.

Don't understand people defending Buffon either (not so much on here) but in general. Because he's a legend and it was his last game Oliver should've spared him? Give me a break.

Totally agree. Juve were great but Benatia made a mistake. If someone had come from behind to get the ball that way, it would have been called as a foul without a second thought. For me, a definite penalty.

Yes it was a penalty. But the thing that pisses most people off is that the refs don't make mistakes when it comes to RM or Barca. No oversights, no calls wrongly made against them, they always get justice, whilst the rest have to put up with huge decisions of injustice and not moan when RM and Barca ALWAYS get justice.

From Valverde after Barca got knocked out: "I am responsible absolutely, I am the visible head of the team and it was down to me."

Juve got srewed big fckuing time in the first leg : underserved red card and a penalty call not given to juve that should have been !!!! pen call might be correct yesterday, but the one in the first leg was not and should have been given ... huge consequences as a result !!!

The luck Zidane gets in the Champions League is beyond belief, can't believe how many decisions have gone Madrid's way in the past 3 years.

on the refs argument. Juve were robbed 1st leg (pen not given and disgraceful red card ) !!! I think it was a soft pen yesterday but still a pen, however soft it may be. But first leg refeering did Juve actually because had they been given the pen, this would have changed EVERYTHING !!!!

A combination of things. Naive tactics from the managers and lack of leadership on the field. It's seem's to be something that all of the top teams are having trouble with these days.

If any of the top 4 teams of the big European leagues came up against any of the big teams from the 2003-2010 era, they would be destroyed.

Football nowadays is all about attack vs defence it seems !! plus no wingers of wordclass quality atm ...

ATM vs Marseille/Salzburg

Arsenal's run to last four should give us some crumb of comfort...by and large they've cruised through to the last four...no guarantees, but we should hope for something similar next season
