They are playing well, the fans are happy, the manager has the players he wanted, they are top of the table after 3 games with 3 wins and 3 clean sheets.......and then he says something like this. It's needless really. Classic Jose. Always needing some conflict to enforce his us against the world siege mentality

By winning the FA Cup, you just knew that le voyeur would remain & we knew that this ship was already taking in water. Man I hope CFC runs their dicks in the ground in their upcoming visit to The Bridge. Just make sure we don't have pawson as the ref Lol, this is what we all wanted! They are falling apart before our eyes and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 10th or worse; which will be glorious aside from the fact Wenger will have to go. I feel sympathetic toward some of their fans but I'm loving this meltdown.

August 28, 20178 yr Really strange how the Arsenal board are reluctant to sack Wenger. Surely they must know he's past it and is never going to win a major trophy ever again so why prolong the agony?

It's all down to Big Papa Kronk, and the club is merely an investment vehicle for him so there's no competitive motivation. Arsenal are just propping up his sports empire, they're a literal franchise now.
August 28, 20178 yr Really strange how the Arsenal board are reluctant to sack Wenger. Surely they must know he's past it and is never going to win a major trophy ever again so why prolong the agony? He makes the board too much cash whilst taking all the flak, like others have said he doesn't give a frig, just collects his wages every Friday

I mean, Kroenke gets 2-3m on advisory fees lol. Also, Wenger is power hungry, he ridicules the very notion of Sporting Director
August 28, 20178 yr The media were making up troubleatchelsea stories just a few weeks ago, yet no mention of same at Arsenal when it's clear to see that playing like that is a sure sign of some unsettled situation back at the ranch.
August 28, 20178 yr The odd thing with the profit angle at Arsenal is that they look to be reluctant to cash in on players with less than a year left on their contracts. Mind, they've form in selling to City and a 50 million sale of Sanchez to the Arab franchise in the next few days is more than likely. It's also possible that Arsenal have sold their "don't tackle us, it's not fair because we play pretty football" line to the Abu Dhabi's Barcelona without the food or weather setup as I've seen a lot of complaining in the local press about how City should have finished all their games against about 5 players. "We're pretty and expensive so just stand there and admire us". Edited August 28, 20178 yr by Snedger

August 28, 20178 yr Liverpool seem to be going all out if reports are to be believed. Already spending the Coutinho money? If they get the players they are bidding for and keep him the look a different proposition. Strange deal for the Leipzig player though, don't see the logic in spending 45 plus million if you can't get them till next summer...anything can happen in 12 months.

Real life equivalent of next year is our year
August 28, 20178 yr It's nuts if the player has a nasty injury. A whole year starting every game he might not be the same player he is in this moment in time. Seems daft to say the least. Like me agreeing to buy a car but the owner using it for 12 months before handing me the keys.

Liverpool might regret rejecting the bid for Coutinho, in actual fact they are crazy. If Coutinho s worth that much then we must be getting towards 250m plus for Hazard.
August 29, 20178 yr It certainly means we should be looking at nothing less than 150 plus for Hazard going by the rates just now. I just hope the board do make a team pay well over that should the worst happen and Eden wants to leave at some point. trouble being that we would need to spend that amount to replace him no doubt.

That Dembele went for 130 odd million. Has scored 18 professional goals in 2 years and 130millon pounds. Would not sell hazard's boots for 150mil.
August 29, 20178 yr Yeah if Madrid come in for hazard, we are looking at potentially a world record fee in excess of 200m. Let's see if they willing to spend that much.
