We made a 6,000 mile return journey on Wednesday and the jet lag must have been horrendous. Liverpool had the advantage as they were fresher and were at home. The 3 man midfield worked because Liverpool didn't get a shot on target first half. Bakayoko is a liability in midfield. He was at fault for the SAlah goal. He handed it to him on a plate with that outstreched leg. Too many mistakes from him in too many matches. Drinkwater was solid, Christianson superb, Dave was MOM with Salah I thought, Hazard was fantastic first half until he took a boot from Salah. Subs should have come on a bit earlier and Fabregas was pulling the strings when he came on. Willian looks to be coming back to his best. We need Moses back to replace Zappacosta. All in all I'm pleased with taking a point at Anfield. We are beginning to look like our old selves in recent matches. Ciiteh will win the title so it's a chase for second. I hope we can do it. Spot on pal. Total agreement. Fabregas is a must start in big games. The change in our forwards when he's there is unreal. They know if they make the runs Cesc will find them. We based our old successful teams on a spine of players. Cech, Terry, lampard, makalele & the Drog . There is a pattern similar to that building now if we can stay injury free who knows.

Hazard continually fouled in the first-half, there should have been at least three bookings. One incident he skipped past a defender on the touchline and the defender puts his arm around him and drags him back. No card. If you don't book players they'll continually foul and eventually Hazard went quiet, after another foul worthy of a booking, this time by Salah. Hazard never fully recovered. Shame because he was mesmeric up till then, he was absolutely bang at it, what a f**king player he is. Considering the fact this was a tough away game and considering we arrived back home at 6am on Thursday morning, I thought we were simply outstanding. We showed our quality today. Everybody watching will be in no doubt we are a damn good side and we deserved to win. We missed chances, we had stonewall penalty shouts waved away, as usual, and had our final ball been better, we 'd have romped home at a canter. The defender goes straight through the back of Morata. I don't know if he got the ball or not. It doesn't matter. It's a foul. You can't tackle like that. Anywhere else on the park it's a foul. That's a pen. Late on it looked like we had another one with Willian when he was clipped, and Hazard was caught by a trailing leg just outside the box in the second-half, yet inevitably it wasn't given. Despite all that we kept on going and we got our just desserts. The fact it was a flukey goal made it all the sweeter. We deserved that. No way did we deserve to lose. Regarding the players, Zappacosta has his merits but he doesn't look good enough to me. Christensen is a real find. Dave was outstanding as he is every week. Drinkwater played well but Bakayoko wasn't at the races, he had a really poor game for me, and made a very sloppy mistake for their goal. Kante was immense and unfortunately Morata didn't get a sniff. That first-half from Hazard was ridiculous. His footwork was incredible. He made them look like fools time and time again. Well done the manager and well done the travelling fans. We showed what we are about today. We stood strong, we were resilient, and we showed quality. We're a really good team and we should all be really proud. That's a tough game we've just negotiated and I'm feeling really good about it all. I just wish we would get a fair deal off referees. Absolutely mate.........overall we were awesome and with a bit more luck we would have won that game in the first half. And dont get started on the refs.....they have all done their best all season to srew us and they will continue to do so.......dont believe me? Keep watching then.

November 26, 20178 yr Willian and Hazard incidents was defiantly 100% not penalties. I personally thought Oliver had a good game and should ref all the big games, the only man for it in my opinion. Not sure about the Morata one, I don’t think it’s a stonewall pen.

Christensen is in the team on merit at present and should continue to hold down the shirt until he no longer deserves it. I love Christensen don't get me wrong, he looks better than Cahill & Rudiger, but Luiz is going to be hard to replace. I don't think he's suddenly gotten sh*t, the whole defence has had a hard time this season, Azpiliceuta hasn't been amazing besides this game. Luiz's ball distribution for a defender is vital to the way we play, his long range and diagonal balls can reach Hazard in perfect positions and turn the game instantly. I think that helped a lot last season and we'll miss that without him in the side. Although Christensen is a better defender yes, but I wouldn't say by a large margin, Luiz was superb last season in every area.

Ernie Ernie Ernie, he was way too lenient. Do you remember Morata getting fouled just outside the box which led to the Alonso free-kick in the first half? The defender has his arm around his neck. No card. How many times was Hazard fouled in the first-half? At what point do you say enough's enough? If you do nothing about it it will just keep happening and that's what happened, with Liverpool gaining, as Hazard never fully recovered from a foul by Salah and he went quiet after that. He was scaring them rigid until then and their only way of stopping him was to foul him. It's the referee's job to protect him, it's the referee's job to ensure cheating doesn't win. As for the challenge on Morata in the box, it's against the laws of football. You cannot tackle from behind. He goes straight through Morata. It's a penalty all day long.
November 26, 20178 yr Well thanks to the pl bent refs we are now 2 points worse of than arsenal, city and United. Not our weekend.

The big games are difficult games to referee and sometimes you just need to give credit, Oliver IMO is the best in the league and it's impossible to get everything right but his good for the big games. Every set of fans complain about refs, lack of penalties etc. If Chelsea had the Morata incident given against them the same fans would all be going mad and saying it's not a pen lol.
November 26, 20178 yr I saw one player being constantly fouled, just as I see the same player being constantly fouled every game, it's the same player that gets singled out for more treatment than any other player in the Prem, by far, and I see refs doing very little to stop it, including Oliver last night. In my opinion you guys have become desensitised to it, you no longer see it as anything exceptional, because you've become so accustomed to it. If you were following another team you'd realise it's not normal. When a player gets fouled as often as he does, more cards should be dished out, it's that simple. Hazard will leave this league eventually, he'll play for another club, and he'll get a lot more protection. I guarantee you.
November 26, 20178 yr Start this video on 2mins 24secs, you'll see two replays of two different fouls. Oliver has a perfect view of both. The first Hazard nutmegs Henderson and is then cynically hacked from behind by him. The second he skips past the defender who puts his arms around him and makes sure his progress is stopped. They're both clear yellows. All we got was free-kicks. Liverpool kept doing it because they didn't get punished. That's how it works.
November 26, 20178 yr First time seeing those fouls. Davey is right both blatant yellow cards. Am amazed any one would think otherwise. If wisey was still about he would not stand for that.
November 26, 20178 yr Start this video on 35 seconds, you see the penalty incident clearly, and you also clearly hear Rio Ferdinand saying it's a foul. Then forward to 1min 05 secs, you'll see the free-kick incident, Morata swivels and the defender wraps his arm around his neck to ensure he doesn't go any further. Right in front of the referee. No card.

It's a nasty and cynical challenge and it's right in front of the ref. Edit: Any self-respecting ref is running straight up to Henderson, showing him the card and saying, "You're not doing that again", but Oliver was happy to allow it. Do you Guys remember when Ronaldo was playing in utd shirt? YOu litterally could not touch him......and if you did it was a yellow on the spot. Now Picture Hazard.....he is absolutely getting destroyed out there every game and these bent refs just stand there and shout play on. Yes he will leave this bent League and be much safer for it. You Guys remember how much sh*t the likes Suarez could do with zero punishment? Its a Chelsea thing, you put Hazard in a utd shirt and im willing to bet my car he would instantly get much more protection. The sh*t is bent and they hate our guts.....

And it keeps happening because no one brings it up, Mourinho would, Conte should also, we need to protect our players. Like someone said, Ronaldo was untouchable (literally) when Ferguson was managing him. I also remember AVB protecting Gareth Bale and it was a highlight on MOTD and Bale went on to have the best season of his life.
November 27, 20178 yr Not a bad result. But after the first half, I wanted a win. Nonetheless, it was a good performance.
