fair result. We didn't play very well, hazard was excellent 1st half, anonymous in the second.

Zappacosta and bakayoko were both poor.

A better point for us than it is for them.

I do think we set out too cautiously though. Why change from a midfield that beat Atlético and United?

Should never have conceded that goal, though to be fair our goal was very fortunate. Solid defensive display, the defenders didn't deserve Bakayoko in front of them, I'm questioning whether he's good enough against top teams, he's too lethargic and doesn't read the game well enough, loaning Ruben seems like a mistake. We should have taken more chances, composure is lacking, Alonso blazing over the bar instead of hitting in to the ground, very frustrating, but at least we didn't lose.

It would have been harsh to lose that, probably the best performance I've seen at Anfield in a while tops our 2-1 under Jose there.

A lot of positives to take away from this game despite not winning and missing a lot of chances. I hate Liverpool more than anything but I'll admit they are no pushovers in the big games while they're at home, we made them pushovers for a lot of that game, we just didn't make it count.

Also, I want to see Drinkwater start over Bakayoko from now on.

Bad performance as a result of bad team selection. Drinkwater, Baka and Kante is anything but ambitious. It was like we are Barcelona Away and the year is 2008. So scared.

First half we were better side undoubtedly. Far better. But lack of class and bad chance to have Drinkwater and Bakayoko on good positions made it 0-0 on HT.

Second half - generally bad. In every aspect. We had 10 good minutes when Cesc, Willian, Pedro, Hazard and Morata were all together on the pitch, we equalised and then again go back and protect the bloody draw that we do not need.

Our coach didn't want to win this one. We could've, we should've but Conte was scared. That's the truth. We are not targeting the title, we are targeting top 4. And btw, it was good result.

disappointing how we pretty much handed them their attacks with poor passing. kante was below par today, alonso was poor, zappa too; drinkwater was mediocre but neeeds time as hasn't played for ages.

Frustrating but it's a fair result. Their goal came from a mistake and our's from a fluke. Wingbacks really need to practice crossing again back in Cobham.

Azpi MotM with Christensen a strong 2nd. Drinkwater was fine 1st half.

Bakayoko wasn't on it today and considering he didn't even play in Qarabag, very poor.

The problem today for me was our gap from midfield to attack was huge which meant that our wingbacks need to be on top of them which they didn't and considering the wingbacks literally had to sprint from one end to the other a lot after the Baku trip meant that they won't last too long.

Frustrating but need to put the next run of fixtures to the sword. 11 points of the top means that it's top 4 this year probably.

A few thoughts...

A point's frustrating, but it was probably a fair result on the balance of chances. Anfield's never easy, particularly when they raise the game for clubs like us, I'm not too disappointed.

Good reaction after going the goal down, worried our heads would drop but we pushed them, and Conte made the bold changes.

Perhaps Cesc starting would've improved the result, but Drinkwater put in a very good shift, kept Coutinho quiet, had a nearly assist and a nearly goal.

As will be rightly discussed, Bakayoko had an awful game. I'll forgive the touch ahead of their goal, as that was a tricky spot, but he barely put a foot right at any other stage. It'll be interesting to see if Conte considers a Cesc, Drinkwater, Kante trio. I think Danny's tenacity might be a good compromise for the physicality we'd (in theory) lose without Bakayoko.

Azpi was excellent again, as was Kante. Hazard faded, but tore them to shreds first half. Zappacosta was hopeless going forward, and not much better defensively. Roll on Moses returning.

Willian again making a big contribution, but I don't see where he fits in from the start.

It's rarely dull watching us anyway, I'll take a point gained, roll on the next one now.

Haha this guy's an idiot lol

To be fair I love Willian and he's one of my favourite players but even this season he's frustrated the hell out of me, nice to see him get the goal. He seemed up for it to be fair, was taking the ball forward when he got the ball instead of sideways.

Also, I'm disappointed with Zappercosta's end product, had plenty of good opportunities to put in a good ball, Moses has better delivery.

A draw was about the correct result I think. Baka was poor today, needs to step it up otherwise hell be relegated to the bench. Kante and drinkwater with fab in front will be what I would start with in the next match. also gresat to see Willian scoring goals again.

Not a bad result, we have a very favourable run in now in the league, our next 5 league games are against teams in the bottom half, so lets star closing the gap on these Manchester c**ts.

COME ON CHELSEA!!!

Agreed, that’s what stops him being a Messi/Ronaldo level player IMO. If he done that for 90 minutes regularly he 100% would be in the discussion with those two.

Fully disagree with that actually, Hazards issue is not consistency, he's actually a consistent player. I don't recall Hazard consistently putting in Jekyll and hyde performances in games.

Hazards issue is his end product, his decision making in front of goal, he looks for the pass rather than the shot and often overplays it, that's what has been stopping him from going to that level.

A draw was probably a fair result in the end. Solid first half with the players executing Conte's game plan well. Defended well, dangerous on the counter. The start of the second was a bit shaky and it was a shame that we had to concede due to an individual error. Good subs by Conte, although we had nothing to lose after going a goal down so maybe he could have made them sooner.

Zapacosta and Bakayoko obviously had disappointing games. I think Bakayoko at least is capable of better. I expect we'll see Moses back in the team soon, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Drinkwater and Fabregas starting ahead of Bakayoko in future games alongside Kante.

It's also interesting to me that we see constant bitching about inconsistent referees in almost every match thread, and then when we get a consistent and cool-headed refereeing performance there's still no shortage of bitching. Funny that.

I think we should try starting Drinkwater a bit more, he looked good.

I think he should start the next game. He was good today, so he deserves to keep his place just for that, but also to give Bakayoko a kick up the ass. Bakayoko is clearly still learning the game. You can't afford to have casual games in the Premier League, you have to be ready in every game.

Bakayoko looks exactly like I thought he would. Not good enough. I know he's young and new to the prem and all, but we needed a player that was ready from the go, especially after losing Matic. A fit Victor Moses and a solid midfielder and we would've taken all three points here today.

I will def play him over bakayoko. bakayoko needs to watch from the sidelines and adapt to the pace of the league. he is a great tackler and has immense energy but is a tad bit too sloppy

Bakayoko lacks extreme discipline, he also reminds me a lot of Ramires in his technical ability, has bits of flair and can be very quick with his feet now and then but his consistency sucks. Should I give him the benefit of the doubt for his age and new signing? Yeah perhaps. But I wasn't big on this signing to begin with, so I'll be a critic who hopes he improves.

Both of the teams deserved to score, I think we could win the game, same as Liverpool could. As a fan, I'm disappointed not to take 3 points, but the game went towards the draw.

Azpilicueta and Christensen had a very good game, both of them saved us from conceding 2-3 goals. Bakayoko had a very poor game, same as Zappacosta.

Morata had a poor game as well, in my opinion, the service he got wasn't big, but he had chances to put 2 goals.

Anyways, we should be focused on our next game, nothing is over yet in the league. One point at Anfield is a positive thing, if not our strong defence we could lose the game. Lets' hope for a better performance next match, COME ON CHELS!!!

Two points dropped, Liverpool were there for the taking if we had shown a bit more ambition early doors. Good subs, albeit a little tardy in coming rescued the point. Bakayoko and Zappacosta were very poor today, Hazard disappeared a bit in the second half and Morata never really got into the game. By tomorrow we could be eleven points behind the leaders, usually a point here is taken as a good point but bad defeats earlier in the season have cost us.

This is one of the main reasons why Conte wanted to keep Matic. He said he wanted to give Bakayoko time to adapt, but because we sold Matic, he had to play Bakayoko as soon as he was ready to play.

Always a good result when you're one down with less than 10 minutes to go. Was in the car for the first half where we seemed better. Had it on talkradio with a scouser so annoying that I switched it off! "Why are they complaining about midweek travel, why did they sell Matic etc." And suchlike with hardly any match commentary. Anyway all is well that ends well. Bakayoko to keep Luiz company on the bench for a while and Moses back next match should improve things. Drinkwater needs games.
