Disappointing goal to concede. How many times has a Bakoyoko error directly led to a goal? He must step up! It's unacceptable that he keeps making these costly mistakes. We could have played better but a point is a decent result

So much on show today!  I have mixed feelings but here goes.  I really like Bakayoko and think he will get better - but at this phase of the league - he certainly is not good enough to be a starter.  I think he should be making the 15 mins sub appearances cause honestly he has a lot to learn.  Drinkwater looked so much better and made good runs and will definitely improve with time.

The second thing is that we show too much respect to opponents.  This is a mentality problem that needs to go away!  This introduces my next point - I absolutely loved it when Willian Cesc Hazard Morata and Pedro were on the pitch.  I don't think any team can live with our attack when we have these guys on.  We should throw caution to the wind and just outscore teams with our best players.

I hope we do this please cause we have excellent offensive players that indeed will force opponents into parking!  We had 90% possession with these guys on the pitch!

I really wanted the 3 points and am quite disappointed!

1 error.

Drinkwater was good today as many have said. I would start with him and Cesc in the future and drop Baka. He was not good today. Zappa has no confidence what so ever at all. I hope Moses will be able to play asap. We are still short of both left and right wingbacks.

Also, respect to Salah for choosing not to celebrate, he had a short time & impact here while being benched and sidelined for whatever reason, he could've easily just have celebrated. Not that it means a great deal but it says a lot about the players' character and sportsmanship, unlike a certain arse hole we have in our ranks who is currently sidelined.

The thing is though, whilst we have the attack for a 4231, we're lacking in another defensively astute ball playing CB that doesn't make a mistake. The midfield would be swamped though.

You could argue Azpi and Christensen as a CB pairing but would it really work?

I can count at least 1 time when he was dispossesed carelessly in midfield leading to a goal  and I am sure there are others so it's not just 1 error. I normally don't get on players' backs but he has been quite disappointing

This is one of the main reasons why Conte wanted to keep Matic. He said he wanted to give Bakayoko time to adapt, but because we sold Matic, he had to play Bakayoko as soon as he was ready to play.
When will our board ever learn to put some trust in the manager?

I thought drinkwater did okay. He made some good runs, that the other midfielders would never have made.

I just don't think you can avoid drop fabregas out of that line up, and effectively play with only 2 attack minded players in the team. Maybe that midfield 3 would be more acceptable if we had 2 wings that were attack 1st, defend 2nd kind of players. In reality we set up more defensively than we did in Munich, which is showing Liverpool far too much respect imo.

Luiz did apologise to the fans after his psg goal to be fair, also the game was a lot more intense.

Still is nice from Salah though.

I may be wrong, but his lack of celebration may have more to do with the recent deaths in Egypt than us

No I think you're most likely correct

I felt like there was a real lack of urgency today, seemed lethargic and even after we conceded I thought we were sloppy.  Take a draw but wish we had a bit more spark from the beginning today (champions league obviously will have played a part.)

Prove it then.

reality is that this was always going to be one of the toughies, so have to be happy with the point and glad they threw away the lead and not us, although talk is that they are actually claiming it a win as willians goal was a cross :laugh2:

If you really think he has committed only 1 error leading to a goal, you must be blind. You are not worth my time to go looking for the specific matches in which he made such errors.

We get absolutely nothing off refs, and today was another example. Michael Oliver has always been very poor with us and today was no exception.

Hazard continually fouled in the first-half, there should have been at least three bookings. One incident he skipped past a defender on the touchline and the defender puts his arm around him and drags him back. No card. If you don't book players they'll continually foul and eventually Hazard went quiet, after another foul worthy of a booking, this time by Salah. Hazard never fully recovered. Shame because he was mesmeric up till then, he was absolutely bang at it, what a f**king player he is.

Considering the fact this was a tough away game and considering we arrived back home at 6am on Thursday morning, I thought we were simply outstanding. We showed our quality today. Everybody watching will be in no doubt we are a damn good side and we deserved to win. We missed chances, we had stonewall penalty shouts waved away, as usual, and had our final ball been better, we 'd have romped home at a canter.

The defender goes straight through the back of Morata. I don't know if he got the ball or not. It doesn't matter. It's a foul. You can't tackle like that. Anywhere else on the park it's a foul. That's a pen. Late on it looked like we had another one with Willian when he was clipped, and Hazard was caught by a trailing leg just outside the box in the second-half, yet inevitably it wasn't given. Despite all that we kept on going and we got our just desserts. The fact it was a flukey goal made it all the sweeter. We deserved that. No way did we deserve to lose.

Regarding the players, Zappacosta has his merits but he doesn't look good enough to me. Christensen is a real find. Dave was outstanding as he is every week. Drinkwater played well but Bakayoko wasn't at the races, he had a really poor game for me, and made a very sloppy mistake for their goal. Kante was immense and unfortunately Morata didn't get a sniff. That first-half from Hazard was ridiculous. His footwork was incredible. He made them look like fools time and time again.

Well done the manager and well done the travelling fans. We showed what we are about today. We stood strong, we were resilient, and we showed quality. We're a really good team and we should all be really proud. That's a tough game we've just negotiated and I'm feeling really good about it all. I just wish we would get a fair deal off referees.

I do not have to add much as you have nailed my thoughts spot on.

Considering all the travel, we came through OK. Really wanted the win, but good result nonetheless.

Come on you Chelsea!!
