Mate it's been 13 games, plenty of times for things to happen. City are now just starting to grind out games, their performance is declining, I think they'll win it but walking it is another story.

We are certainly capable of chasing them.

lets catch utd first before we get ahead of ourselves,

they are on another planet at the moment and will continue spending obscene amounts to reach their goal.

the odds are crazy. man city 1/9 to win the title after 13 games. we are 25/1. Worth a fiver of anyones money!

I've watched Swansea a few times this season to check on tammy. They have been appalling every time, anything but a comfortable win will criminal.

Willian deserves a start imo. I'd like to see us keep the 352, but play Willian as one of the midfield 3.

Courtois

azpilicueta christiensen cahill

Moses Willian kante fabregas alonso

Hazard morata

Not a bad shout having Willian as one of the midfield three, I also wouldn't mind seeing that.

Should be able to rest players that need a rest for this one. Would also like to see us back in a 3-4-3 as we don't need to dominate the middle of the park as much.

Courtois

Rudiger  Luiz  Cahill

Zappa  Drinkwater  Kante  Kennedy

Willian  Morata  Hazard

Give Willian a chance after his goal at the weekend and Kennedy can give Alonso a well needed rest. If Danny and N'golo can do it together at Leicester and win the league they should be able to do it at Chelsea against such an abysmal opposition. Deffo want to see Rudiger playing whether he comes in for Dave or Cahill. I imagine Cahill dropping out is more likely but we'll soon see.

I'd be less worried if they were still dismantaling team's, when a team you are trying to chase are starting to grind out 1 goal wins it's not a good sign. I said last season that the part of the 13 game run when we won 1-0 four times 2-1 once in a six game run was a massive physiological blow to the chasing pack, as we were so close yet so far from dropping a few points.

I've seen Arsenal grind out games when they're at the top of the table, every big side is capable of doing it. Liverpool did it under Brendan Rogers, it's something you simply have to do when you're at the top.

This game wont be easy, I'd love if it was but it wont be.

Swansea have only left in 15 goals this year, which is less than Arsenal and Pool but they cant score to save their lives.

I think it will be a 2-0 or 3-1 game to us and I'd like to see players rested as Newcastle should be a trickier game.

I'd go with

Tbo

Azp Christensen Rudiger

Zappa Kante Drinkwater Kenedy

Willian Morata Pedro

If we're winning with 20mins to go, take off Morata for Saturday.

I hope Hazard is not rested.  I really hope that we don't rest too many players before kick off cause this is the EPL and things go Belly up in flash!  No point resting Hazard Morata etc then still bring them on at 60 mins when we are a goal down and trying to chase it!  I would rather we start with our strongest and most offensive team, score 2 goals and then take the players out at half time!

Crystal Palace, Burnley - lest we forget.  6 points we thought we would definitely get and came out with 0!

just saw clips of contes presser..he seems to be hinting at resting hazard...

Makes sense to rest Hazard. We have willian pedro and fabregas fresh for this lot. hazard can be a super sub. Pedro can play in midfield like he did against Qarabag he is good at pressing and has a good engine

                     Courtois

      Dave     Christensen      Cahill

Zappa  Fabregas  Kante   Pedro    Alonso

                 Willian   Morata

2 easy fixtures coming up...got to be grabbing 6 points, Utd will drop points for sure over the next 3 games so if we don't screw up we could be in 2nd place:smile:

8 winnable games coming up to try and reduce the gap to city and also cement top 4

Exactly! No reason for why we can't go on a winning streak as of now. Shame about the Luiz injury though.

Quite sickening the luck the Manchester clubs are having in their last games. Man U are playing Ars & City back to back so & opportunity for us to go 2nd if we win our next 2 home games, hope we do ! Onwards & upwards

Hopefully we'll get a much needed three points tonight, what's the betting Wilfred Bony will score as he hasn't scored in 7 games currently.

I'd go with a 3-5-2 formation and play Willian in the central three to give us better penetration alongside Cesc and Kante. I do like Bakayako but he needs to stop giving the ball away so cheaply at times. I believe he will come good but he just needs to focus better on the ball.

I am not worried about this one. They will probably score a goal or even two, but at the same time, we will fill Fabianski's sack with pre Christmas presents. I go with 3-1 or 4-2.
