Bakayoko again in midfield again. Jeez. What does Danny drink have to do. Far better player then Bambi.

Kante, Drink/Fab should be our two midfielders.

Fab gives you that linkup and creativity where as Bambi gives you.... well.... er...

Backline looks dodgy as well without Andreas in there. Dodge game this could be.

Come on, that's very harsh.

Baka has been good in the last few games after a shaky period.

Give him time, he's just recovered from a knee injury.

Nothing wrong with the back line, we're superior to Brighton in every department.

Only complacency and too big a Christmas dinner will cost us.

Christensen injured?

If there was more of a reason to get vvd... I dont see Cahill being capable of playing the centre of the back 3 as he lacks composure and his passing is suspect. Well here is his chance to prove he can be a Captain Fantastic

Good? Average at best. I'd be very upset if I were Fab and Danny. I wouldn't be surprised if he is sold next year.

Our backline is shaky. Cahill isn't playing anywhere near the standard required. Rud has potential but raw. Thank the lord for Azpi and Andreas.

There is still a Watford performance in this defence. They've been better but are nowhere a top 5 defence.

Looks like Conte has gone back to the old standard lineup, except no Christensen. This has proven to be our best XI I think (with Christensen of course), though I do not mind the Pedro-Hazard-Willian lineup for certain matches.

I have not been able to post as much the past few matches. Hopefully, we will take care of business early today.

On a side note, over the past 10 seasons, this is the 6th most points we have had at the halfway point (39) with these seasons being better: 2016-17 (49), 2014-15 (46), 2009-10 (42), 2008-09 (41) and 2013-14 (40). What is interesting to me is we are just one win from the group of losses to Burnley, Palace or West Ham, and this would be our 3rd best points at halfway in the past 10 years. Regardless, this team is right on par with all of the teams the past 10 years except the three years in this span we won the title. It just looks worse since City is having a record year and on pace for 110 points! This year's team is similar to 2008-09 and 2013-14 in my opinion. Those were not bad teams at all and just needed a couple of breaks and they could have won the title (namely the loss to Sunderland and draw with Norwich come to mind in 2013-14).

Come on yo Chelsea!!

add Christensen

Don't know what to expect with our inconsistency. Some have said a draw at Everton wasn't a bad result. Really?

I think we may squeeze a win here just because we are inconsistent but not too shabby a team. Win some, lose some and then draw some.

The fight for top four is becoming stronger, we got no time for mistakes here. I would be honest, I don't really like the formation of 3-5-2, we're not deadly enough, it's too defensively in my opinion.

Good to see Morata back, need to score few today. Also good to see Conte keeping the Kante-Baka partnership, Bakayoko has been good in the last 3 games and it works well for our defence and attack.

Must win for us! COME ON CHELS!!

Would have preferred a 3-4-3 with Hazard, Morata and Pedro/Willian.

Still, should be enough to beat Brighton.

Dull 2-0 win with few chances my prediction.

"According to the Premier League champions, Christensen misses the match due to illness."
