TRANSFER WINDOW OPEN!

In order to preserve the overall time frame when deals can be done, FIFA now requires the Premier League to bring forward the opening date of the summer window, which will be effective immediately.

They are expected to formally announce the change within the next 48 hours, with member clubs able to buy and sell players from Thursday.

Somebody better tell our board, also remind them that it CLOSES earlier now too. We all know how they love to drag their heels these days.

No links to any players is worrying, what with it being a World Cup year. The FA are dumb and the new window time frame will back fire.

Think we should be looking to get some deals done before the World Cup, if a player has a good tournament their price usually skyrockets.

Not really. We have an FA Cup final to play this weekend and Conte is still coach. Once the FA Cup final is out the way, I reckon the wheels will start turning, with or without Conte. I am sure the board is monitoring Sarri and other coaches situations. There's got to be a coach to definite come in for us to target certain players. 

Can't wait until the all the former and current agents come to our board once again this summer 

I fully expect the board to pursue targets without a manager in place. Hopefully he has given recommendations but I guess the board will pursue players that we have scouted over a couple of seasons and go from there. This makes me hope we get Sarri as he seems more of a coach than a manager who wants to deal with transfers. I would prefer it the other way round but the board doesnt work like that.

I would personally like to invest in 2 top players money can buy and then promote Ruben, Mount and Odoi to the first team. We also have Van Ginkel on our books and hes had a stellar season in Holland. There is 4 signings right there who would do better than what we have had last season. Pay top money for 2 elite players. Don't waste it on the likes of Drinkwater, Barkley and Zappacosta just to make up the quota. I still have hope for those signings but they are not worth the money we paid for them.

We have numerous players lighting up different divisions on loan this season. It's time to use them.

HOw long do we have between the end of the WC and closing of the window? It's only about 2 weeks or something isn't it? 

If we don't sign City's entire squad plus Salah from Liverpool, I will be very disappointed.

MVG has had an excellent season in holland but is he good enough to be a starter in this team? Can't be any worse than Bakayoko I guess but people seem to rate Mount higher.

I don't think so either RLC on the other hand should definitely be in the squad he's been terrific this year when not injured, played out of position too.

Some people think we need a big overhaul, but i think we need only a few additions personally. Tactics and formation are the biggest concerns.

A CM is crucial and should be our number one priority (again)

RW and CB come next. We need somebody who is going to take the pressure off Hazard (if he doesn't leave that is) and an experienced CB that isn't going to make a ton of mistakes throughout the season.

I don't think we need anything more in all honesty. Signing 3 players for those position combined with tactics and a formation to get the best out of them and the rest of the squad should be enough to get us competing again. I also don't think we should offload a load of players either. I personally would love a bench that has the likes of Moses, Luiz, Fabregas, Willian and Batshuayi. Having these players rotate (and i mean rotate, not bring on for 10 minutes once every 3 games) could be brilliant for us and it would keep them happy.

Completely agree. Exactly what we need in the middle of the park.

Emmanuel Boateng who plays for Levante looks brilliant, only 21yo scored HT against Barca, all great goals, they bought him for just £2m, bargain, go get Chelsea.

I agree that we don't need a complete overhaul. We could do with 2-3 top class players, get rid of players we don't need and fill the rest of the squad up with academy graduates 

Ideally we target a deep lying playmaker. Someone like Jorginho, Ruben Neves, Leandro Paredes and Weigl would all be good options

I feel we need some support in attacking midfield also. Hirving Lozano, Fekir, Bailey, Martial, Asensio are all options we should be looking at

Also, if there's a possibility of getting someone like Alderweirld or Kloulibaly then we seriously need to look at that option

If Morata does go back to Juventus then I'd like to see Bats be given a chance, I feel he's never had a proper opportunity under Conte and in a more attacking setup I feel he'd thrive. 9 goals in 14 games for Dortmund is a great return for any striker

If Courtois has his heart set on leaving and we receive a crazy offer then I feel we should let him go, Butland is a very good GK and wouldn't be too expensive considering Stoke got relegated

I don't see much of a future for the likes of Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Pedro, Moses, Drinkwater and David Luiz and I'd look to use the likes of RLC, Hudson-Odoi, Ampadu, Mount, Ola Aina as squad players and slowly bring them into the first team
