December 28, 20187 yr For those pointing out Higuain's goal scoring record this season, Dybala has scored 2 goals in 16 league games in a much superior team. Higuain has 5 in 14 games. Dzeko 2 in 14 games. Seems to be a tough season in Serie A this year.

Correct me if I am wrong but Dybala is playing much deeper now with Mandzukic & Ronaldo leading the line. As for Dzeko; he is 32 and being phased out gradually for Schick. I would be wary of signing an aging player from a league that makes Bakayoko look like prime Viera.

You're saying they want to offload him for financial reasons. 4 months ago they thought they could afford him. What changed? Are they really badly run and didn't realise the impact that 4 months of his wages would do? Or is he not as good as they thought? I don't see another alternative and the former seems a bit unlikely unless Milan are run by absolute amateurs who can't plan 4 months in advance.

Don't they have a problem with FFP and they've been knocked out of Europa in the group stages. Edited December 28, 20187 yr by Osgood is Good

The problem with Milan is they need to sort their balance sheet before 2021, think they are €200m in the hole debt accrued from the former owner. They are owned by Elliott Management but the owners can’t fund their purchases even if they wanted to because of FFP

Both those things are true, but I don't think they'd be looking to cut short a loan for those reasons if the player was looking good.

There can be a big difference between looking good, and worth paying as much as your next two most expensive players combined. As well if Bakayoko is doing well there, they are probably playing more of a counter style than build up. Both Morata and Bakayoko aren't technical enough for us. Sometimes we just need someone to keep their composure and finish one time.
December 29, 20187 yr Not overly keen on Higuian but our current attacking options are not sustainable. We are almost a one man team. Morata looks finished at the club now If Sarri thinks it could work then the club should back him as long as it’s a relatively low risk option. Otherwise the club are not helping the team or Sarri.
December 31, 20187 yr I don't think Higuaín is coming, just scored the winner after a goalless spell.

I didn't realize that AC Milan's loan deal was an OBLIGATION to buy, not an OPTION. I'm not particularly keen on Higuain for and 33M. Then it really does become a straight swap for Morata. Which is basically flushing Morata money down the drain. I was hoping for 6 months of Higuain, sell Morata for 35M+ and invest that money in a long term replacement this summer. We'd definitely have to negotiate that number down to Giroud like levels of 15M or so. We'll see.
January 8, 20197 yr He looks massive. However at this point, I would take anyone for abit of fresh blood in our attack.
January 8, 20197 yr Author Christ, if they wanted a chubby and slightly overweight thirty-something year old up front, they should've just offered me a contract.

January 9, 20197 yr In Italy many trusted website say the deal is done. I honestly think someone like Piatek would have been a much better buy but still a big upgrade compared to Morata. Hope he can get fit enough to play in PL cause right now he's slow even to Seria A. Concerns about lower goals scored by higuain this year can be explained by some injuries and a very bad mood of him in Milan team, he tends to get depressed when he doesn't receive the ball but still he made some incredible game this year. He's still a goal scoring machine.

January 9, 20197 yr Wonder if we could somehow work it as a loan deal for the rest of the season? Then buy our long term striker in the summer.
