You all underestimate greatly Higuain, whoever gets him will have a great player, he is definetly stronger as a forward than most of the current forwards in EPL and Sarri knows how to get the best out of him, anyway he is closing with Milan that got a very good deal and it annoys the hell out of me.

I dont think theres much doubt higuian is a fantastic striker, I think the worries come from his age and his mobility, and whether or not he would be able to adapt to the premier league. If you also consider the price and wages, then it's easy to see why many chrlsea fans didn't wants this to happen. We've been here before with shevchenko who was world class, but he struggled to adapt to English football, as he came here a couple of years too late, after he had lost that yard of pace that would've seen him score for fun here. From juventus's perspective this seems a strange deal.

You need to understand our position though. So many times we have bought these type of strikers over the years and they have turned out to be bad timing. Even you must admit that Higuain wasn't as good last season as he has been in previous years. The way he looks after his body and bottles big moments would surely come back to haunt us too. The tempo of the Premier League compared to Serie A is very different, i'm not saying it's better or anything, but i'm not confident the tempo would suit Higuain at this point in his career. If he had looked after himself a bit more then maybe, but i get the feeling that Higuain's best days are past him now.

He scored a bit less because he played much more for the team and he learnt to be an advanced play because he is a striker with the technique of a 10. He scored in all key matches that allowed Juve to win the league , the cup and get to cl QF I would be surprised if he didn't score at least 20 goals in the EPL.

You should have kept him and played him with Ronaldo. You could have sold other players to cover the deal.

Moses is homegrown, solid enough defensively, can attack (end product isn't great though) can play multiple positions. He's a great squad player and has proven to be important to us at times. Zappacosta is mediocre at everything, not as versatile as Moses, and he's taking up a non homegrown spot in the team. If we want to bring another player in then somebody has to go and if I had to pick anybody it would be Zappacosta. If Sarri goes with Zappacosta, then i can't help but feel it will be because he is Italian. And Zappacosta looks like Super Mario. Edited July 31, 20187 yr by jack_super_class

It was very expensive for current budget. Anyway I love the guy but I understand the need to sell him I am just so pissed off that it was to Milan instead of Chelsea because I think he would have been great with you guys and in the same time we would not have helped these Milanese bankrupt morons
July 31, 20187 yr If we'd really wanted him, we would have got him. If Juve really rated him, they would have kept him. Simples.
August 1, 20187 yr He’s definitely on the decline just have to look at his lowest goals return on goals last year
August 1, 20187 yr He is going to Milan on loan. That says a lot. I know he is a great player at best but I'm really glad we are not paying 60m or something crazy for a 30yr old.
August 1, 20187 yr It's a trial before you buy 50M deal, similar deal to the one we reportedly offered. At the end of the day, he didn't want to move, and everyone is pretty happy with the outcome.
August 1, 20187 yr Glad we steered clear. IMO he would struggle in the PL. Don't want another costly mistake on our hands.
August 2, 20187 yr The thing is that Bonucci is coming back to Juve now, but they still don't want to sell Rugani...

Most likely because Caldara is rumored to be going the other way in the Bonucci deal. I’m sure Juve don’t want to lose both of their promising young center halves.

Not exactly the youngest defenders. They need Rugani for the future - and to be honest we really don't need him that much.
August 2, 20187 yr Yeah didn't make sense why we were interested in him for the money touted. Wrong side of 30, would cost a bomb and the problem we would have again is he would be in a new league, have to adapt, and it's another expensive risk. I think it seems Chelsea are looking to sell Willian and bring in Martial for that no.9 spot it seems.

I think it seems Chelsea are looking to sell Willian and bring in Martial for that no.9 spot it seems. Now that's a rumour I like! Only problem is we have to get rid of some current strikers along with Willian to make space. Hopefully CHO will get a chance on the right side. Him and Hazard as our wingers would be terrifying. I really rated Morata. Huge potential. His end-product is just not good enough. Yesterday he was - yet again - leaving the field with 3-4 major chances and zero goals to his name. Even got to take our penalty. Hope we offload him and Giroud, and let Michy and Abraham get the chance (along with Martial, should he come).
August 3, 20187 yr Just read that Higuian didn't join us cos he felt only Sarri was showing the love, must have access to the Shed End! https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/998503/Chelsea-transfer-news-Gonzalo-Higuain-snub-Maurizio-Sarri-AC-Milan-rumours-gossip-news Edited August 3, 20187 yr by Ballack & Blu

To be honest, I don't blame them either, it's another risk that might not be worth taking, at least for the money involved.
August 4, 20187 yr He probably visited this thread and found most of people are not his fan. He will earn nice living with Milan, everyone wins at the end.
November 11, 20187 yr for all of the mofos that wanted Higuain here this season, just want to post a reminder that Morata is still having a more productive season
November 12, 20187 yr At least Bakayoko wasn't the worst Milan player on the field, I'm surprised he got a start, must be doing something right or Milan is completely f*ed
