Seems like citeh have employed the most annoying gobsh*te as their pa announcer...every goal they scored today was greeted in a totally ott gobby and cocky manner...might have to mute their games on match of the day etc in future

To be fair we had good old Neil Barnett for years :laugh2: I miss all the cringe we could associate to him still.

Hasn’t Warnock been sacked yet? I have to mute the telly and look away after Cardiff games to avoid the twat, the sight and sound of him makes me feel ill.

They won't sack Colin for a while now that Cardiff are out of the relegation zone.

Given how limited both that side and the manager are being out of the relegation zone is actually an achievement for them.

f**king ironic coming from this twat, he has more touchline bust-ups than any other manager and 90% of the time he's started it.

ANd surely and calmly the rats coming out to eat......like f**king screaming teenagers, acting like they are good example to salute......they can all go spit.

Arsenal are jammy c**ts. Teams fall apart when playing against I wont be surprised if this ends up 5-1 again.

They can overtake us for 3rd place if they manage to bang in a few more. Goal difference.

When are these c**ts playing a strong team? Tired of teams rolling over

Level on points with arsenal and spurs then. That lead evaporated quickly.

The draw against West Ham was a poor result. It's slip ups like that that will cost us in the long run. It's too competitive to make mistakes like that now.

Arsenal have strikers who can score we don't.

If we currently had Aubameyang instead of the hapless Morata, really think we could go all the way this season.

Have to be impressed with what Emery has done so far. They usually start games poorly but he manages to change things to turn matches around. Not afraid to make early subs and he has already improved a few of their players. Think we are still the better side bar the striker position, but they are going to be a threat for those top 4 places.

I'm fairly sure that was only the third or fourth Arsenal game I've seen this season (us, Everton, Leicester, one of the Europa games), so I may not be in the best position to comment, but there's still an odd frailty to Arsenal which was evident in the first half when Leicester's diamond midfield completely swamped them in the middle of the park. They were lucky not to concede at least two in the first half, especially considering Leicester should probably have had a penalty. Leicester then inexplicably sat about ten yards deeper in the second half, panicked, switched their formation (which really had worked very well), and immediately conceded twice.

Similar story against Everton, who were comfortably the better side until the second half when they eased off. Petr Cech deservedly receiving the MOTM award speaks volumes.

Michael Cox wrote an article a couple of weeks ago (which I largely agree with) about how Arsenal, despite being on a great run of results, hadn't really impressed: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/club/arsenal/359/blog/post/3665282/arsenal-are-still-a-work-in-progress-but-unai-emery-is-getting-results.

All of that aside, when they do click, they look quite fearsome. Had it not been for Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan missing two sitters they could have scored four goals in the first half against us, and that was in August, in only their second competitive game under Emery.

Similarly, in the second half against Leicester, (while Leicester's retreat is also to blame), Arsenal were fantastic, their linkup play, so quick and well-versed, was unstoppable (Ozil in particular). The fact that all three goals were scored with one touch, within the area (both of Aubameyang's from about six yards out), at the end of a sequence of 10+ passes, is evidence of a team's attacking fluency which is beyond anything we've managed this season.

Overall it's odd. Arsenal are capable of looking mediocre, but at the same time capable of scintillating, often within the same 90 minutes. Again, someone who has paid more attention to them will be in a better position to judge, but I'm not entirely sure what to expect from them over the course of the season: will they become more fluent, or will they continue to exist in this strange limbo?

Arsenal managed to sign two top strikers we haven't. Good on them for being smart and making obvious signings that will strike fear in defences

Exactly.....they have 3 strikers, 2 very very good ones. We have nothing of the sorts.....and as mentioned by many others here, will prove to be the diffirence at the end of the day. Just pathetic by the board to handicap the team.....

This is the thing both their striker's have pace, can finish, good movement and strong. We don't have one striker with all those attributes combined, one is strong and hold up well, the other decent pace can head the ball but if the wind blows pass him he's on his ass and couldn't hit a barn door if he's 1 feet Infront of it.

The tax payments of 171 players, 44 clubs and 31 agents are being investigated by HM Revenue & Customs.

HMRC has recovered £332m of extra tax from professional football since 2015-16.

The figures are a rise from September 2017, when HMRC was reportedly investigating the tax affairs of 90 players, 38 clubs and 13 agents.

A HMRC spokesperson said it is examining a "range of issues, including image rights abuse".

"We carefully scrutinise the individual arrangements between football clubs and their players to make sure the right tax is being paid in the UK.

"HMRC rigorously enforces the rules and has brought in £332m in extra tax by tackling non-compliance in the football industry."

The news comes amid a national debate over funding for grassroots football, with former Football Association chairman David Bernstein recently telling BBC Radio 5 live the Premier League should be taxed to improve facilities following the collapse of the Wembley sale.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan offered £600m for Wembley but withdrew his offer after the plan became "divisive".

The FA said it would invest the proceeds of the sale into improving grassroots football facilities.

"It's a national disgrace," Bernstein told BBC Radio 5 live.

"The Premier League does pay some monies across to other parts of football but it is nowhere near enough.

"My view has consistently been that the Premier League should be levied, money should go to the FA, which would be distributed to the wider game and which would make the selling of Wembley unnecessary."
