I've decided I want Liverpool to win the CL. They'll change a number in a song and Chelsea can still be the only club from London to win the CL.

The chances of Levy spending some cash are higher if they do lose so Poch could stick around which is unfortunate. In a perfect world Poch goes to Juve and leads a mass exodus of talent and Spurs go back to being a non factor

Football needs new rules regarding concussion, and should change the way substitutions are used so doctors have more time to assess players, Uefa says.

European football's governing body has now requested that Fifa review the current concussion protocol.

Current Fifa guidelines suggest a minimum rest period of six days after a concussion - but the final decision rests with team doctors.

"The health of players is of utmost importance," said Uefa.

Aleksander Ceferin, the governing body's president, said: "I strongly believe that the current regulations on concussion need updating to protect both the players and the doctors and to ensure appropriate diagnosis can be made without disadvantaging the teams affected."

Uefa, whose executive committee met on Wednesday in Baku, said Fifa should consider potential changes to the laws of the game, including around substitutions, to "reduce the pressure on the medical staff and give doctors more time to assess a potential concussion off the pitch, so that no concussed player returns to the field of play".

A report from the New York Hospital for Special Surgery in November 2018 found concussion protocols in football were "ineffective" in almost two thirds of matches at the 2018 World Cup.

Morocco winger Nordin Amrabat suffered a concussion in their opening match against Iran yet played again five days later, despite Fifa's guidelines suggesting a six-day rest period as a minimum.

Last year it emerged after the Champions League final that Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius had played the full match despite sustaining a concussion.

Plenty of Spurs fans belittling our win last night, apparently it’s irrelevant and we are still London’s second best because they are playing Saturday night.

I don’t think I have wanted Liverpool to win as much as I do now. It feels quite strange.

It's horrible, but I've come to the same conclusion. One more European trophy for the Scousers is not as bad as Spurs finally winning something.

Although we can all agree it's bad and nauseating either way.

So true I feel like filth for saying this, but come on Liverpool.

Spurs winning the CL with their new stadium and everything would be just terrible. The Scousers have lost out on the one trophy they really, really want so I wouldn't begrudge them the CL. Saturday is going to be a weird win win, lose lose though, whoever triumphs.

Oh I would begrudge them! Total begrudge fest.

Well, at least us winning will make it easier to pretend Saturday isn't happening.

I have to tell myself I don't begrudge it, to stay sane. As I posted earlier I hope both sets of fans disgrace themselves, and both managers have a punch up on the touchline which then spreads to the players and both clubs get lifetime bans from Europe.

Well I can dream can't I.

Sweet dreams are made of this...

I can take great solace in Arsenal and Liverpool going on an absolute meltdown if Spurs do win, which won't happen anyway.

AFTV was so much for to watch, they just f* lost it, laughed when DT reckon Cech should have done better to save the first goal, without Cech they'd be done by Half time, what a bunch of C*. Cech deserves better, come home big man.

AFTV was a bit of a let down. Being in Baku, there was no Claude, Lee, Ty, Moh or Bully videos to laugh at. Just Troops, DT and a bunch of unknowns. DT's interview didn't disappoint though. That was tasty.

Regarding the CL Final. It's a horrible situation to witness as a Chelsea fan. However, we need to focus on the positives that whatever result will produce.

Liverpool win-

Spurs go trophyless, Spurs fan cams to watch, basically anything Spurs related

Man Utd fans will be gutted.

Spurs win-

Liverpool lose, Jurgen Flopp loses another final, and scouse reaction videos. Liverpool will have had their best PL season yet would have won absolutely nothing. There will be no love in for Liverpool on Sky/BT.

Arsenal fans will be devastated. It's no so bad for us, as we have recently won it. We will always be the first London club to win the CL. Spurs winning the CL will practically overshadow anything Arsenal have done. The invincible season/winning the league will be the only leg Arsenal will have to stand on.

As of now, I am completely on the fence. I know Liverpool are the lesser of two evils but I really want to see them lose another CL Final. I just hate that, that would result in Spurs winning it.

well if you need a reply for all of the smack talk that the gooner fan tv brought, I found this rant pretty good

I'd rather Liverpool win it. I feel like vomiting saying that, but the alternative is arguably 100x worse.

The idea of Spurs winning it is nothing short of repulsive.

However, the idea of Spurs winning it is nothing short of repulsive. At least if Liverpool wins it, no one will begrudge them of the victory and most will feel its a fair outcome after falling agonizingly short in the PL.

Stop it with the not begrudging already!

I WILL BEGRUDGE

It's still f**king Liverpool.

I wouldn't mind Chelsea playing spuds in The UEFA Super Cup & if Chelsea win that match, doesn't that make Chelsea Champions of Europe? :Troll_Face:Besides, I had a run in w/ a lolpool fan last night on another messageboard. Their sense of entitlement really is over the top, even though they haven't won shit like forever. I wouldn't be too upset if spuds won, because I can always LOL at liverpool's great season of being a bridesmaid

It's bad either way.

On the upside, at least we'll get to laugh at one of them.

My brother-in-law is an Arsenal fan. I haven't spoken to him yet about last night's result but I know he'll be in a bad mood. If the Spuds win on Saturday he'll go ballistic.

I'm going to draw up a list of things to mention to him. Only team from London to have won the Champions League, Giroud scoring, Cech returning to his old club. That sort of thing. He'll have steam coming out of his ears.
