I must be watching a different game then, blatantly tried to make his frame bigger by spreading his arms.

Yes is hand is in a weird position, but is it really handball ? I suspect that VAR stuck to the letter and could not overturn the ref as it did hit his arm and its up to the ref to define what is handball.

Haven’t seen the incident but again the debate of what’s a handball. If it goes to just hitting the hand we’re going to get to a position of players just purposely trying to hit penalties by aiming the ball at defenders arms. It will be like hockey where attackers only try to win short corners by knocking the ball into defenders feet.

watching it on BT Sport - there seems to be no atmosphere either in the stadium or from the commentary team - is it just me or is it dull??

This game is a bit of a non event. Doesn't feel like a Champions League final at all

in this case it appeared to hit his ribcage chest/underarm area before it touch his arm - I thought it was really harsh

Yeah I turned it off. You can stream it free on the BT sport app too, much smoother.
