At the moment, in addition to Kova and Jorgi, Potter has the following fit players who naturally play in Central midifeld:

 

Gallagher

Hall

Carney

Santos

Casadei

He has options. Are they amazing proven options? No, but he has options if he wants to leave out Jorgi and/or Kova.

Those are hardly options.

Gallagher has been awful.

The others have about 15 PL games between them.

I expect hes going to take time to acclimatise before he's ready to play unfortunately, big jump to leave his country at a young age, especially to one with such different language, weather, lifestyle etc.

Still would play him ahead of pointy though....

Yeah agree, wouldn't expect him to come in and tear it up. Not sure he can possibly do worse than our current CM's like you say, what better way to get used to the pace of the Prem than playing in it!

Well it's safe to say that Potter isn't a stupid coach, he knew a victory at home over Palace is expected and who to count on if not on Jorginho that was his selected captain for the match? Just another manager that keeps holding on Jorginho as much as he can, I stopped counting how many experts of the game value Jorginho.

Now I have no doubt that Santos will be an amazing player but it's not his time yet and Potter knows this.

Nobody is listening anymore Gol. It's over my friend. Jorginho has said he wants you to stop now. You are both embarrassing and frightening him. He is talking about serving a legal injunction notice.

Incidentally, for anyone who has just watched Thomas Partey as DM for Arsenal against Tottenham, that is the type of all round dominant defensive and attacking display a top class, physically imposing, DM can provide. Reminiscent of Essien at his best.

Sounds like Jorginho got the job done once again.

Clean sheet, back 4, two8's in front of him. Never lost against Palace with him, Potter isn't stupid.

He had a good game, him and Gallagher dominated the midfield. Defensively he’s still dribbled past ver, very easily when he does not read the interception, and when we are under pressure he’s just not good and we loose the midfield, like the last 10 mins or so. But he had a good game overall and was more progressive than I’ve seen him before. Fair game to him. Like I’ve said many times before, he’s good in certain type of games, and Palace has given us all the space in the world to come forward as they normally do allowing him to do his thing.
