Didn’t that decent tournament follow a decent season, where he was named Everton player of the year? If he’s available, I’d take him.

Okay, but if he was good enough to win players player of the year as well, then I’ll take the professionals verdict. 

Don't think it will happen, especially now Everton got a rich owner and going around like the new rich kid in town.

so does Willie Cab, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near first team

After stones and lukaku it may not be wise to try and deal with Everton. Not to mention their neighbors just spent a world record on a keeper and even of they would be willing to sell they would likely ask for more than he went for.

They really weren't, every Everton fan I know rated him incredibly highly last season, go on their forums and it's pretty unanimous in praising him.

I don't know the fans you know but media wise, talksport, phone ins and the sorts were pretty critical of him at times especially his command of his goal at set pieces.

He won player of the year in what was one of Everton's poorest showings in the league in recent years especially considering the investment.

To be fair, we got Barkley for an absolute steal in today's market. Can't blame Everton for not wanting to give one of their better players away so cheaply. Maybe now they've bought Richarlison they'll need to recoup some of that money.

I think he did ok, nothing more nothing less. Under Sarri I think he could be excellent as he has the ability to both play it long and accurate as well as excellent short distribution. Courtois is awful at anything besides punting it, could see him be a liablity this year

It's too late. There isn't enough time for them to get a replacement, unless they went for somebody like Butland. I just can't see it happening.

Is his distribution that good? He hit a few good long kicks in the world cup but I don't recall seeing anything special. 

And didn't he just join Everton? We would need to overspend hugely to get them interested.

I think it is. Its not on par with Ederson, but I would find it hard to name anyone else thats better in the PL.
