Frustrating half. Hopefully West Ham tire a bit in the second half and we can pick them off. Fair play to them though, they’ve not resorted to playing a back 9 and kicking lumps out of us like other teams. 

Poor first half of football. Possession means nothing if you're not going to do anything with it. Nobody seems to want to commit anything today, it's all too safe and slow.

We keep playing balls into the strikers and they keep cutting them out. Need to try something different, cos we are not really creating anything.

Playing okay, not great. Just lacking quality at important times in the final 3rd. 

 

Didn’t create a lot in the first half, Giroud and Kante having our best chances. Will need to lift it a bit in the second half maybe bring Morata on for Giroud after about 10 minutes. Really not a lot else on the bench that can lift us I feel.

Seem to playing through the middle too often. We need to go a bit wide,

 

 

Too predictable, also look flaky at the back, Kante missed a sitter, but he’s not a goal scorer, wrong man in that position, which is the worry.

Lots of pretty passing but with no end result. Hazard isn't at his best and nor is Willian.That was a foul on Hazard on edge of their box but Dean waved it away. IDIOT. We need to improve second halfespecially seeing as they have had the best chances.

All we do is winning possession but it doesn't lead us to the victory.

We started well with some Kovacic's dribbles inside and Hazard's creativity. We have to play in that more, push forward and shoot more. We also must play Alonso and Azpi on the wings, they're a possible option for a cross and finding Giroud's head. We have so many options to score but we don't play on them. 

I'm happy that we have the ability to keep possession more than the opponent, but we must be deadly to score the goal. Let's hope we will see some attacking tactic from Sarri. COME ON CHELS!!!

Getting the opposition defence facing their own goal should be the end target of each phase of possession. That means getting close to that touchline all the time, or at least every 2-3 phases. A lot of our goals come this way, WHU have basically 5 at the back making them wider and it a little harder to get behind, we should limit our center field forays and give the back three a problem by facing the sideline or their own goal, as long as they have the ball in front of them we will struggle.

The problem of our game plan is not so much the defense or the fact that D.Luiz is not fit to play at his best atm. The problem is, apart from Hazard upfront, and when Wilian is not having a good game, who do we have left? Giroud, Morata and an ageing pedro (even if in that particular game, to have him would have helped a lot)... There's a reason why Pool (sané firminho salah), City (KDB, Aguero etc) are banging so many goals easily ... But again, we did score a lot so far ! Actually as much as them so it might only be a question of time before we score ! But the lack of technical ability upfront, bar Hazard, will do us wrong vs serious teams (pool, city and man utd too). Plus, spammers play vs us like it's the fcuking world cup final !! And always get away with everything at this sh*tty stratford sh*thole ... As bad as their sh*tty stadium in east london zone 3, i.e, the worst place there is in London (with millwall and north london haha).

Yeah agree, West Ham have played us very well. Kudos to 33 year old Zabaleta on Hazard, but hopefully he tires second half and Eden rips him a new one.

West Ham keeping defensive position very well. We definitely need to move the ball faster to pull them out of position, and maybe hopefully they will mentally tire. Credit to West Ham though, they're defending great. Bastards.

France also won the World Cup with Mbappé, Griezmann, Kanté, Pogba (hate him as much as you want, he won more duels than any other players in that wc and scored in the final too ...) and Hernandez ... Giroud actually was a liability for France more than an asset (his defensive work really was basic at best imo ... ).
