Chelsea v Fulham (PL) Sun 2nd Dec 12:00 UK

Featured Replies

Hazard is out of shape, Kovacic is useless, Alonso is terrible last month, Jorginho is either tired or they have his number, Pedro can't deliver a good pass, Willian can't deliver a good finishing, Morata and Giroud have flashes but unfortunately in garbage time of the games...
Clearly it's all about the points December. I don't care about the performance. We got three, I'm happy.
But apart from that we're perfect.

2-0 is never a bad result. The bright points for me were:

Kepa's distribution

Rudiger's solidity

Kante , Loftus Cheek and Pedro all did well

We worked the ball quite well into wide positions and Giroud was in good positions just the final ball was really poor. This is something that must improve.

As for ratings I gave Morata a 1 - purely because he celebrated Loftus Cheek's goal. I fully expected him not to bother. I have never seen a bigger imposter in a Chelsea shirt.

I'm not usually good at formations and the like, but for today's team pre-match I actually chose that line-up except I put RLC in instead of Kovacic.  I feel pretty smug now.  Well, not as smug as I would've been had we smashed them as we should've done.  But my choices (Pedro and RLC) both scored.  Giroud wasn't great though.

But would be nice to enjoy a whole match sometime in the PL.  Even in the Europa, Thursday was the only one I can recall which wasn't frustrating.  I'm not complaining, just observing.

Keppa does do distribution very well, really helps with playing out from the back. He is bound to make a mistake one day but they are few and far between.

Frankly Arse v Spurs was a country mile better game than ours. No comparison in all honesty. I feel Sarri hasn't quite got the personnel. If RLC was consistent, which he isn't, he'd be pushing harder for a regular starting spot, he has the power and drive that we need in the final 1/3.

Giroud is not a medium term answer. I admire him as a player but he is getting to the end of his career.

Luiz is not the answer either.

And without wanting to sound like a moaner our fullbacks have not adjusted well to back 4.

On the positive side Rudigier is good, Kante was my man of the match.

When did Fulham fans suddenly start calling themselves ultras and acting hard, anyone know? Literally the weirdest fanbase in England. Seen some of them talking about Pat Lampard on twitter for some reason, swear some of them need help.

Not a performance to be remembered of, but a vital win. Until RLC came on, we never looked like wrapping up the game, and if Fulham had that little extra quality, they would have scored. I believe this was the game we could give Christensen or Cahill or go, Sarri refused, and I bet we will see the exact back 4 against Wolves. Kante assisted the first goal, but still lots of minutes passed him by with his new role. We need at least 1 midfielder who's willing and capable of running and shooting, right now that seems to be option off the bench than default. With the results last night, although we were back to the third, any slip up in the next 2 games we are likely to be fifth, tougher challenges ahead. I reckon Sarri picked his team with rotation in mind, pretty sure Willian/Morata will start next game.

The older fans are just as bad to be honest. I occasionly go with my best mate but he drives me f**king mad checking his bets every 30 seconds.

Guy next to me on Sunday literally had his camera out ready to record anything that happened near by the whole game and at the United match another guy watched the first half through his iPad.

I remember at a CL game (a later stage one - quarter final I think, either PSG or Atletico, someone big anyway) and some young lads in their twenties behind us asked us to sit down.  We were in the MHL FFS right behind the goal!  It's a different world I tell you!

Even I managed to stand the entire match! Kids today...
