Hopefully a few more assists like that can help him rediscover his form. Clearly the talents is there, confidence might be lacking.

Just a different style being pursued currently. He suits a system with more traditional wingers and we're not using them.

He was without doubt key to us making top four last season (along with Giroud) so I have faith he can adapt to the new way of playing.

I’d be surprised if we stick to a back 3 in the long term with Tuchel, so more traditional winger setups could be coming next season. Think with essentially the same 3 at the back and wingbacks as Conte had (besides Moses), Tuchel is using this system because it suits best the players that he wants to play or trusts most to play.

I love this new rule in football where you can keep kicking the same player and never getting booked. He played well today, shame he didn't score.

Agreed

I think Sheffield United were up to 12 fouls by half time and I think nearly half of those were on Pulisic.

Thought the ref was poor today in that sense. He let them get away with systematic fouling even if there were repeat offenders.

He was kicked all over the park today and the ref did absolutely nothing to stop them. Shocking. Despite that, he wasn’t our worst player but I think he’s still got a way to go to be the player he was last season.

There is a reason why there weren't any PL refs at the previous World Cup, absolutely allowed players to kick Pulisic for the whole time he was on the pitch.

If Pulisic had the Neymar mentality the ref would get annoyed and only then would he start to give some players yellow cards...

Thought he had a horrible start but worked his way back into the match the hard way - which I really liked! Glad he didn't get injured too. CHO on the other hand..not sure what's up with him but he looks completely zoned out at times.

Did he play on the left or right?

Both, not sure when exactly maybe half time him and Mason switched sides. But the system is so fluid that really they just float around the box in number 10 positions so they pop up everywhere.

That is interesting, it is rare for players to constantly switch sides unless he is playing as single 10.

Pulisic right to work on Monday at USMNT camp.

It's been a long time since he's been in a US shirt, mostly because the manager has been using friendlies to see what he has in less proven players.  But for this pair of friendlies it looks like he's brought out his A-team minus Weston McKinnie who is injured.

Who are the USA playing? Might be good if it’s some sh*te teams he can get confidence against (like England :laugh2:).

IDK Rob Green did not look much of the part in 2010.

Trash talk aside Jamacia and Northern Ireland, so not top sides.

Update, can't watch the game but will be following the score.  USMNT is about to play Jamaica.  Pulisic is being posted to the left wing of a 4-3-3.  So he will be playing in the spot that he played under Lampard.

I figured that would be his likely spot.

He only played the first half but looked great!  He looked like the CP we all have come accustomed to.  Yes it is against Jamaica, but he was threatening most of the first half and was creating havoc for defenders.  I am glad the US gaffer pulled him after the first half.  He got to see what he could do and is keeping him healthy.

Glad you saw the game, I couldn't at work.

Read the reports that they pulled him off at half.  Probably smart considering it was a friendly.  I think they mostly just wanted to get the team together to see what they can do.

I saw the highlights of all the goals.  That strike from Dest was world class.

He should be starting against Ireland hopefully we get to see him get a goal or look lively again like against Jamaica. You can see his confidence is slowly starting to come back. If he can find his cutting edge going into the business end of the season things could get interesting.
