Not the sort of company I'd want to be associated with :

Lots of shady sh*t in their history ...

I knew very little about this company but what I do know that we aren’t the first club who have links / sponsorship with Middle East development . Indeed Arsenal have major links with a company called Sobha Reality the suggestion is that they Sobha, have a £20+ million deal in place

What does amaze me is that some are going out of their way to bad mouth this company, the market they operate in and indeed what they bring to the table.I can’t help but think some always operate in a half empty way and as I say I am convinced some won’t be happy no matter what.

This isn’t a Mickey Mouse cash strapped organisation they have links with all sorts of individuals and indeed organisations.I find the Nine Elms link in particular very interesting.

Like someone else’s has pointed out the timing is interesting based on the RFUs comment and indeed The Mayors intervention.

Back to the deal. The front of shirt deal is for a maximum of 7 games my guess is that the overall deal is front loaded and as a sweetener the add on was that 7 game. Don’t be at all surprised if there is some sort of link to Cobham/ SB be it naming rights, funding or something else.

The suggestion is that we will have another sponsor in place for the club WC that sponsor may or may not be long term

Arsenal have Visit Rwanda plastered all over the place, a regime currently responsible for all these terrible human rights breaches below taken from a report a few years ago, yet no call for that sponsorship deal to be cancelled by the Fa and media. So we want to be sponsored by a TV station different to the FA`s current broadcaster is a big no no, terrible stuff. A political regime killing people, yeah no problem, on you go lads.

Significant human rights issues included credible reports of: unlawful or arbitrary killings; torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment by the government; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; arbitrary detention; political prisoners or detainees; transnational repression against individuals located outside the country, including killings, kidnappings, and violence; arbitrary or unlawful interference with privacy; serious restrictions on free expression and media, including threats of violence against journalists, unjustified arrests or prosecutions of journalists, and censorship; serious restrictions on internet freedom; substantial interference with the freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of association, including overly restrictive laws on the organization, funding, or operation of nongovernmental and civil society organizations; serious and unreasonable restrictions on political participation

Ahem, that isn't what the law says @dkw (1.2a)

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2024/8/enacted

this Act gives effect to the judgement of Parliament that the Republic of Rwanda is a safe country.

Because the football side, an our history does not matter to them. Only business.

Business side displayed some similarities with how he was treated under Ken Bates.

Said there were too many people behind the scenes, (scouts, coaches, directors, etc) pushing expensive players onto him to the point where they weren't listening to him.

Just ramped up by 100 for our current owners.

As little goodwill as I have towards the owners (it’s more clear now that Todd is in fact the more ambitious/good one), I don’t mind this. As there’s no way Roman knew much about the historical players when he took over, he got into football from a Real Madrid Vs United game In 2003, when R9 was playing ffs.

It is what it is. These guys just clearly lack the right people around them, footballing people who can whisper in their ear ‘who’s who’ before introductions.

Sorry, but I can't agree with this. Forget the football player, forget the fact that he was a giant if European football for years.

As a manager he won us our first FA Cup since 1970, with a final in which one of the most iconic Cup final goals ever was scored.

He was an instrumental part, both as player and manager in changing the direction of this club and with our chairman made a significant impact in helping the club to become serious players in the league.

The fact that this clown owner has once again illustrated how pointless and superficial he is by not even bothering to do his fcking homework about the fabric of the club that he now owners. What a w*nker.

Edit: errm, Boehly, not you @Term_X 😁

Yea, I hear what you’re saying. Just trying to filter some of the negative press these days, as it’s just non-stop.

I’d essentially just bet on Roman Abramovich not knowing about him either as an 80% certainty is all. Therefore, don’t see too much in this. I’d agree though, on just the basics of who is around these guys? Footballing people? Surely you’d have people in your ear giving you the knowledge, as it helps please wider stakeholders. If Kante knew about Peter Osgood, then yea, probably not an excuse.

I think this is actually my biggest gripe with the ownership. Putting aside everything else, the bare minimum they could do is to surround themselves with the right people and heed what they have to say. Whether it's churning through Chief Executives, medical staff, sporting directors etc. they have not appointed the right people and removed people who had valid advice to give.

Abramovich certainly had no idea about football let alone Chelsea, but it is well-documented he made it his business to understand the game and the club by chatting to the players and existing staff.

This ownership is like the difference between Gillett & Hicks vs FSG.

Boehly is a disgrace, and he's the better half.

Both are symptoms of a sick, sick world. Talk to your neighbours. Vote against anyone who posits immigration as the cause of your problems. Embrace beauty, and never forget that one must cultivate one's own garden.

All a load of nonsense really, if you want to trace the £ good luck. Judge if you like. This is why Roman didn’t bother me. I never lost any sleep about where the money come from more about its intention when spent.

It was spent with intention to improve the club that’s all I needed to know.

If you want to follow the £. We are all owned by the same people and it’s all a game and it kind of ruins it so let’s all be ignorant.

We are all living a lie, it’s all a game. We call this one football. We have to accept spurs are our sister company, as are arsenal. We are all owned by the same people.

We accept our turn of success because that’s what where given. They choose who what where and when. 3 corporations own the world.

The illusion of choice is just that until you do something about it. Choose people.

Or ignore and support a club, don’t try and do both cos it’s sh*tty and sad.

I had to stop. The AI voice pronouncing Ruud Gullit's name wrong, the subtitles, if this is how the kids are consuming content these days, then their brains are screwed 😆

Not many non-Dutch speakers know how to pronounce Gullit, or Guus for that matter 😉
