A bit torn here; obviously I want a Chelsea win but a Chelsea win helps Liverpool close in on the title. This game is making me question my very existence.

My feelings exactly!

how about bournemouth win on saturday....................... and we win on sunday.

does that make you feel better.    :bluescalf:

City looked unbeatable earlier in the season, but they've definitely lost their air of invisibility and that's partly because we showed the league that they can be beaten with our great performance against them at the bridge. We're a great team with some top players, we just need to defend well and cut out the individual errors and I think we'll win this. It's very important that we keep in tight early (first 25 mins). Conceding early away at Spurs and at the Emirates due to individual errors cost us in those games.

I'm going 3-1 Chelsea and Hazard to have a stormer!

Only if West Ham won tonight!

I’m guessing all the people who said they don’t care who win the league don’t live in the UK and will have to swallow all the tripe the media will dish out if the bin dippers win it.

Yeah very torn on this one. Though I would rather finish 6th and win the Europa League than 4th and win nothing.

We are not Arsenal, 4th place is not a trophy, and liverpool blowing the league would be worth a defeat to city.

Put it this way, if we make city implode again and liverpool blow it you know who else is waiting there? Spurs, how do you all feel about Spurs winning ththe title?

Like DanSubrosa, don't' really care about the other results more just our own form.

Sure I know the media will be OTT with applause for Klopp and his boys if they do take the title yet would rather quietly creep into 4th and get the extra money for qualifying.

A draw is pretty useless for both us an City. Hoping we can complete the league double over them, and also hoping they will have beaten Everton midweek before then, so that the pressure is really on Liverpool

So what would you choose if it comes to this? Winning this game will make the difference between chelsea getting in top four and Liverpool winning the league. Conversely losing means we miss out on top four but city beat Liverpool to the title...Sophie's choice?

We are 12 points off the top. Just goes to show, if we didnt drop silly points, we could be in touching distance.

Oh for sure, heck beating the two poor teams we lost to in our last 2 away games would be enough.

not so joe - there are many pundits/fans/supporters in the English Speaking Media here wanting either spuds or dippers to win - I guess you didn't hear about when Brad Friedel was on TV readily supporting BM in the UCL Final back in 2012 but in typical spud fashion came up short

Even if spurs goes top of the league right now, I won't be worried, before the season ends, they will find a way to bottle it.

I also looked at the table after Liverpool's match and realized the point separating us from first ain't much. This season's league ain't as competitive as the one we won with Conte. Despite the fact that some people have already written us off about making top 4 because of United's form, 5 consecutive wins right now can still easily see us competing for the title!
Boutnemouth are cr*p away from home. They will get stuffed.
I told someone the same while watching the Liverpool game, they play better when they are at home.

Tough game to pick, our lot are so inconsistent you never which team will show up. City will hound the hell out of any of our players who have the ball, so it has to moved a lot quicker than we have been doing lately; do that and we might have a chance; sit back or they score an early goal.....were f**ked.   Not the best result but I'll take a draw, still a long way to go yet before anything is decided.

We know we are going to play Plan A, so the team pretty much picks itself

Nothing will really be settled  after this game. City having to play midweek when we don’t is tough but they have a big squad. Their home record is very strong and getting de bruyne back is a help to them. They will also be out for payback

A point may not be much use to us but it may also be useful in the run in to the cl qualification.

We probably won’t have major  possession and they will almost certainly score. So we will have to score as well. I like us on the break. Playing defensively should let Kante and say Kovacic help Jorginho out, and leave us less exposed to luiz’s lack of pace. It will be tough but not completely impossible.

Concentrate on Chelsea. For me it is all the same if City or Pool win the league. If it is not us I don't really care.

City has to play Everton tomorrow and it is away for them. We should be more fresh for that game on sunday. If we manage to defend compact and attsck with pace we might well win there. Motivating the players for this is not a problem if we are to believe Sarri on that issue.

As my wife will be in the home end on her season ticket, I hope for a Chelsea win even more:  a silent car journey home and 3 days in the spare room in peace and quiet!

(On the other hand, a happy wife and scousers not winning win the league does have a lot to appreciate too.)

ps. 1 or 2 tickets for away end would be greatly appreciated. :)

I have a good feeling about this one and hopefully the team will be out to make a statement. We could become their bogie team and afterwards they will enter the Wembley game with increased self-doubt.

As long as we trash spurs I'm happy.
