Its a Win-Win game for me, we get past this game and are still in the 4th spot that is a huge stride in ensuring Champions League qualification however if we lose its keeps City on the tails of Liverpool who seem to be cracking under pressure.

Surprisingly a draw would be a pretty bad results for all parties involved.

IMHO a lose this match & a win the League Cup Final is a double good situation - put out the B squad for this match

Id rather win both games thanks. If we win were 6 points behind citeh with 13 games still to go.

I’ll feel better about smashing City when they go top of the league tomorrow. 

Just imagine if we can actually fight for the title ... That would be a huge remontada

B squad what is that Drinkwater? f**k no play them and give them hell win or lose at least we won't be putting our pants down before Pep never, he has the worst record against us.

I remember this match in Anfield a couple of years back & playing the B squad worked in that game - oh wait - that is when Stevie G slipped

 

 

For me it is weird people want us to lose. 

if we do beat city, just have to make sure we beat the scouse at their place to balance it out

Very good line up, unfortunately the only weak link is Sarri's favourite, Jorginho. I really fear for him against Silva and De bruyne

I have the feeling that if we get maximum points this weekend, it will make City more determine to beat us in the league cup final for revenge. And when Pep comes for revenge, he usually gets it. Liverpool fans can testify to that.
On the other hand, if we can beat City thrice in a season, that will be remarkable!

Seriously!? It's ridiculous that some fans would be happy for us to drop points in order for City to keep pace with Liverpool. We've got all to play for in the league this season, we need to be winning every game. If we beat City at the Etihad it'll be amazing!

I've read about a lot of Everton fans going to their match with City tonight who will be cheering on Man City for the same reasons. I can kind of understand it a bit more for them as they don't really have anything to play for this season. Its going to be an unusual atmosphere at Goodison Park tonight!

Yea for me not really torn, Liverpool will undo themselves, I’m not going to busk in europa league and not being unable to bring in top players with a big grin on my face because liverpool didn’t win, our own goals are priority if the sh*t bags lose the title then all the better...

like it but how about Kovacic in Jorginho's place and Barkley in Kovacic's.. since Sarri is now openly talking about Kovacic rotating with Jorginho? Would be a more robust midfield.

Callum Hudson-Odoi won't. He'll be lucky to make the bench. 

Week off, back to default. The only doubt I have is whether it will be Pedro or Willian. Thank God we got Higuain so it's not both.

Yes. I suspect it will be same time that started against Huddersfield. CHO may make the bench. A win would be huge in terms of our chances of top 4. Also if we beat them perhaps we take a psychological edge into the League Cup final?
