I vote shake it all about.

This was my first thought when seeing the title.

 That would of made a brilliant option. Stopping myself from hijacking it and adding it.

Do it, use your evil powers for good!

IN for me  - just. Have to give him to the end of the season and then judge it from there. Doesn't look atm like we're going to finish top four so that will limit what the club can spend in terms of changes in the summer. Sarri constantly states the players are not playing 'his football' but he also has to ask himself if he ever will have a first eleven who can play his style?

I can't see Higuain wanting to stay beyond May if we continue to see more performances and results like today; he will have plenty of options to move to clubs playing in the CL next season. Plus Hazard and Willian are also looking likely to leave this summer which means that we're going to need to build an entirely new attack. One that's going to be around for the next few seasons on a limited budget yet expect them to start competing for trophies straight away. Will the Club trust Sarri to do that based on his first season so far? The claim that he can coach 'average players' into something better is ringing pretty hollow atm.

If we do lose Higuain, Hazard, Willian etc this summer then we really will be at a crucial point in our development for the next 5/6 years. Who do we trust to take us forward?

Conte re-motivated the same players Jose de-motivated. Another manager will re-motivate these bunch. It's happened many times. Remember when Di Matteo won the Champions League?

Same with Hiddink after Scolari.

To suggest we should just accept this and label these players with several trophies behind them as impossible to motivate is simply foolish.

I'm with you on this. Remember Conte won the league on pretty much the same players that Jose had, that put us near near the bottom the season before in his awful spell at the end.

Sarri saying he can't motivate these players pretty much points to losing the dressing room some weeks ago. Once that happens, it would be near impossible to get them motivated to play for you.

I expect a statement with his release tomorrow with Zola to take over as caretaker. At the least, after the next game. That's the pattern of our club.

i so hope if this happens it is not with zola, i hope i am wrong but i really do not think he is cut out for management at this level and would hate to see that little wizard get tarnished but then again who knows, he could do an ole solskjaer

Pretty spot on here. Awfully run club. Our soul searching after this defeat should begin with a single word - 'Governance'

We need a proper technical director to oversee the football side of things. That is the moment we end this chapter where we have squandered our massive wealth and become Arsenal.

Knowing how bizarre we are run, it wouldn't surprise me to see Jose back for a 3rd stint!

A director of football would be a good start. Then maybe we can have a summer where we actually identify areas of weakness, and get the right players in early, to give them the best chance to hit the ground running.

I thought with sarri coming in, we would see a more enthusiastic board, but there still doesn't seem to be much drive from anyone.

The team play with no identity, because we have no idea where we want to be as a club, there's no real leadership at the top anymore.

Sad day for everyone connected with the club, really hoping for change, but sarri will probably get sacked, and the next guy will have to make do with what he's got.

THat shouldn't be what we want though. Why do people insist on this merry go round with managers? Every time the fans say "maybe this time it will be long term" then when the team have some poor results and not doing well, people question the manager again. I will support the manager even if it means no CL or challenging for the title for another season as long as there is a damn vision from the club. I just don't know if there is a vision from the club. If they can come out and say they fully support Sarri through thick and thin, I will be happy. I am never fully confident with this board though. Many of our fanbase have entitlement issues due to the days of winning titles and trophies seasons ago, but now things will be difficult, we need some longevity for the better of the club.

Jose MKIII that would be a laugh. Who cares about palpable discord?

Maybe Conte MKII needs a try after today. He's still under contract after all!

If Mourinho comes back, i will take a sabbatical from this club, because they really would prove they haven't got a clue, hiring and paying out massive payoffs seem acceptable, but come on Chelsea show some thought, direction, and Governance.

Also, of course Sarri in. What a reactionary poll.

We do love a reaction.

Feb 2018: Conte and his Sufferball out! Nothing could be more embarrassing than losing 1-0 away with 30 percent possession.

Feb 2019: Oh wait...

I didn't vote yet because I think he needs more time but the next 3 weeks are critical.

I think we will see a reaction v Malmo this week but if Sarri doesn't change Kante/Jorginho I think we could easily lose to United in the FA Cup.

Odds on we lose to City at Wembley so if that happens I think the home game v Spurs will be make or break

Yes that's how I read it as well. Even if we beat Malmo another heavy defeat against Man U, City or Spuds could seal his fate.

Abramovich appointed Sarri because he wants to see the football Napoli played at Chelsea. It’s pretty clear that won’t happen this season, so there are two options:

1. Get rid of Sarri

2. Accept whatever happens this season & give Sarri the conditions he needs to do it next year

Why do people insist on this merry go round with managers?

Because it's been our winning formula for the last 15 years?

Sacking managers that haven't delivered early has really worked for us so why change that?

Serious question. What do people prefer ?

1. Continue with the merry go round of managers and not integrating the youth because the "new manager" is under pressure to win things immediately ?

2. Give a manager 2 - 3 years and let them build a team (with some of the youth that is good enough) without the pressure of winning ?.

With this the youth do not get used and then the fans complain.

But we win.

And that's what Chelsea has been all about in the Roman-era. And personally i want to keep it that way.

That’s possibly the worst analogy I’ve ever read on this forum.

Not even close we have a club being run the same way as the negotiations and both seem to be Heading the same way.

10 years ago we could of gotten away with it just like 30 years ago the UK could gotten what they wanted because they believe they had a right to...

Not in 2019 though both UK and Chelsea are starting to realise the pecking order has changed an unless leadership recognise this it will only get worst

Out.

He has more flaws than things you can compliment him on.

The players look below average and have to constantly play an uphill battle.

You can bet your life that if the opposition scores first, it's most likely a lost match, to trail 1:0 is already like 5:0 since Sarri has no idea what to do if his tactic doesn't give him an advantage early on, it's either we win early or we lose and sometimes after the first goal the team is ready to open up for free like today. There is no real gameplan, just try to move and pass the ball and that's it.

He said a few times that he can't help CHO, can't do anything for him, he also said that he doesn't know anything about transfers or transfer targets, he can't talk to Hazard about what he plans to do, he's not even invested in Chelsea as much as he just wants to play 4-3-3 and to see what happens. This might have worked with Empoli but nobody there had the expectations of anything. Basically everything is fine as long as he can play the same type of football that half of the players don't understand, he's lucky that Kante is a good person that is willing to work hard, if Kante had the mentality of Pogba and didn't like the formation who knows how the squad would have reacted to Sarri.

Yes we win every other year, but haven't you complained about the lack of chances for the youngsters.

No.
I think you should give them a chance if you have the opportunity to do so but winning should always be the main objective of this football club.

And let's not pretend Sarri has done well with the youngsters. We might be about to lose the biggest talent we have had in decades to Bayern because he's barely featured this season. Ampadu is another one that deserves a chance at this point but he isn't getting chances either.
