It's a Wembley cup final, might not have the support we did v City last time we played city in a final, (youngsters on here it was 86 full members cup final), but I'll be in my finest gear, having traditional pre match fry up at 8am, then on train to Victoria followed by a couple of warm up pints at globe baker Street, before going to torch for a few, yes we will get stuffed with this clown in charge but it's a Wembley day out.

Too right chi blue,
We will be leaving Leigh on Sea at mid-day, get to Baker St via Jubilee line from West Ham for 1.30pm. Now i'm ( ahem ) in my 'mature' years, ( soon be 62 ) prefer the luxury of the bar at The Sherlock Holmes hotel, about a mins walk from The Globe. Not crushed like sardines & drinking out of plastic glasses, with nice leather chairs to sit on ( snob! ).
Onto Wembley to probably lose my voice (!) singing throughout, and enjoy the day yet again. ( Probably be warm enough to dig out one of my Harringtons, a bonus for the time of year ).
Doubt i'll get home till gone 10pm, but what the hell eh?. Age is but a number??

Absolutely mate, I'm hoping all the adversity with the team and manager might gavalnise our support on the day. "f**k em all, f**k em all"

Kepa has a Hamstring injury & could be out for this match

Not sure that's the biggest miss in the world, yet to see him save a half decent shot yet, mind you, has got the art of picking the ball out of the net down to fine tee!

If he's picking the same 11, we may as well call the game off and concede 2:0, at least it gives us a 7 day break until the next league game.

Seriously, if Sarri wants to win this game, spend the week doing defensive training and watching some Jose park the bus games, we need every player to run their feet off covering the space ,  frustrate them, get them to throw 10 players around our penalty box, and hope the counter attack click for once, or twice. Forget about playing stylish football, this is the  game only a win matters.

Next game is actually THREE days later v Spurs.

Going to be a lot of drinking for me this weekend. I'll be wrecked come the end of the weekend. Good job I don't have to get up for work on Monday.

On Saturday afternoon I'm meeting a couple I know who are ST holders at City and and are down for the game. We're meeting at my favourite pub in London, the Harp and will have a few there before moving on.

On Sunday, will, as usual start Cup Final day with a glass on single malt whisky (probably a Talisker) and then have a large breakfast. Then meeting up with about a dozen others at a pub in Farringdon for a few pints before heading to the game. One of the people works for the company which owns the pub we're meeting at and gets a 25% staff discount on drinks and food.

Suspect we'll have a couple after the match to celebrate or drown our sorrows.

This one is going to be fascinating, surely Sarri will change something, but then again it's impossible to imagine him changing anything.

The one thing we have in our favour is that we can hold the ball away from city for long periods, the press that they commit to is very energy sapping, so it's not something they can do all the time. If we can keep our passing game nice and clean, make them expend energy, keep our shape and don't push up too much, we may frustrate them enough to see more bookings like last night, more mistakes like last night (x2 pens). We need to forget about us pressing them until they reach midfield, stay compact, use the pace of our wide forwards and simple diagonal balls into their path, Higuain poaching whatever he can get onto, but the rest of the team must sort of stay out of the attack and not get sucked into high positions up the pitch.

It's going to be really tough, so we need the support of our fans in the stadium to be loud, it always helps.

This reminds me of the final against Utd in 94, we all knew we needed to score first to have any chance of winning as their team was so much better if we had to chase the game we would be torn apart.

Peacock hit the crossbar in the first and then we conceded 4 in the 2nd.

I'm hoping for a better outcome this time.

@Strider6003WATP is short for We Are the People. A popular chant among Rangers fans. Rangers being my other team.

We had a smaller allocation than united that day, as it was done on average attendances, but our support was noisy and boisterous and completely dominated the noise, remember Graham Kelly after game saying although we had less allocation think it was 23k to about 28k we were very loud, as United went to lift cup all you could here was the blue flag bellowing out, be nice to think with all the sh*t with club at moment us fans can rise to the occasion again.

I’ve worked out Sarri’s system; lose 2-0, lose 4-0 and lose 6-0 to City. This one will be 6-0.

i can handle losing in the final but not if its another walloping, that would just be too much

I think it helps to have bi-polar disorder when you follow Chelsea

Hit rock bottom on Monday night but now we've beaten a bunch of relative nobodies from Sweden I think we are pretty much invincible

We're going to rock the world on Sunday

2-0 Chelsea ::ChElSeaFLag::
