November 29, 20241 yr Yeah, beeb had an article on him rgdn his injury. It's a different hamstring and Chels are trying to kill the noise around it especially after the Times article, which gave him a potential return in January. Just makes me think it's going to be a lot longer than January before he's back properly.
November 29, 20241 yr Think we need to shut him down completely and start fuguring out which two games we want him fit for next season.

December 4, 20241 yr Just so people know, there is no scientific evidence for the cause of repeated hamstring injuries in footballers. We actually do not know why or how they are more prevalent in some people, largely because there is still very little research pertinent to elite-level footballers. Most research in this field pertains to other sports (AFL and NFL especially) or college/amateur athletes. But, we can confidently say that "better weather" is not one of the factors. There are medical speculations (eg muscle size, body shape etc.) but there is no scientific evidence to back them up. UEFA's landmark study into hamstring injury was published last year. One major finding was that more players are getting hamstring injuries. Almost 1 in 5 hamstring injuries in this period were recurrences of the same injury, and over 60% were caused while intensely running/sprinting. If club football is getting more intense (tactically), and more frequent, it could explain the rise in hamstring injury. So it is possible that Reece James just isn't cut out for modern football, but there's also a raw 1/5 chance that the player we buy to replace him has similar issues.

(ShedEnd medical team) Completely disagree, think it's the perfect time for Reece to come back: "The zodiac sign for January 2025 is Aquarius, which runs from January 20 to February 18. Aquarius is an airy, masculine, fixed sign, and its planetary ruler is Uranus."
December 4, 20241 yr It’s maybe conjecture but Luke Shaw has a similar body shape and a similar injury record.

December 10, 20241 yr Maybe if we spend 50M on his legs instead of looking for a new RB, he could be cured. Horse placenta and all that

December 10, 20241 yr Would love to know how much he’s been paid per minute on the pitch for the last cpl season. Must be eye watering amount. that said he’s definitely at a crossroads now and we probably need to move him on. But who would take him ?
December 10, 20241 yr My rough reckoning was about 3 million a match, as much as i love him, i've thought for some time if only we could get him fit long enough to sell him. I'm afraid he's going to be one of those players forced to retire early. We need to track down the bloke that cured Damian Duff.
