Class is permanent? Tell that to Arsenal fans who had to witness Wenger's decline from a great to a joke figure infront of their eyes or Liverpool fans who saw Kenny return and finish in their worst position since the 50's or Forest fans who saw Clough eventually relegate them or England fans who saw the great Capello oversee a world cup humiliation or United fans who saw LVG.

Very few have displayed any hate for Jose here, just simply pointing out that he just isn't a top manager in the modern day and he certainly isn't suited to us right now.

It is odd isnt it, how mediocre managers can be consistently mediocre throughout their time, however the best seem to have a shelf life...

I dont think Jose is finished just yet though I would guess he will come again at another big club, I do agree that he wouldnt be right for us again though

Even the next few tiers down have declines. Take Mark Hughes for example, in the 00's he was doing an excellent job at Blackburn and was arguably the PL's best manager outside the top 4, now he looks like a lost sheep managing at PL level.

He's gone now so i couldn't care less anymore. Tbh the idiot can rot in Italy, he hasn't thanked those of us (the majority) who were fighting his corner for most of the last 10 months.

My opinion is that someone who thinks Jose would be a good managerial appointment is a person of low intellect. Sorry if that offends or triggers you.

Kind of funny, coming from the bottom of the barrel for intelligence yourself.

Rafael Benitez: Newcastle manager offered £12m by Chinese club Dalian Yifang

Apparently he's "one of the favourites" to succeed Sarri here, and I don't much like the sound of that. Maybe we can hold a whip-round to help out Dalian Yifang?

If you can find betting odds on Benitez where he's the favorite, send that link my way, I want to lay down some cash....

I need a proxy... They won't let us yanks send in our money.

Does anyone seriously think it's going to be Rafa?

I refuse to even consider the possibility. No pollution in my head :sign0195:

Frank Lampard to Chelsea confirmed! He will sign a deal until 2022!

I trust this source FYI..

This was tweet by Simon Phillips who he says he trusts this guy. Either way, it’s clearly happening. Just a matter of time.

Obviously not, but it would be nice to pack him off to China, just in case.

Jose Mourinho favours international management over club role

Jose Mourinho says he is open to returning to the game as a manager of a national team rather than a club.

The Portuguese has been out of management since being sacked by Manchester United in December after overseeing the club's worst start to a campaign in 28 years.

When asked about his next challenge, Mourinho said he would welcome the opportunity to manage at international level and revealed it would not necessarily have to be with Portugal.

"I want to compete in new competitions," the 56-year-old told Eleven Sports. "I think about the World Cup and the European Championships.

Luis Enrique has stepped down as coach of the Spanish national team for personal reasons.

I think Frank coming to Chelsea is all but done but I wouldn't rule out us being linked with Enrique before long.
