Hi. I have been a little vocal on our forum regarding the amount of time either Chelsea/Lampard are taking making a decision on his potential appointment.

Considering that we gave Chelsea permission to open talks with Lampard on 24/06/2019

I find both Chelsea and Lampard guilty of a lack of class and respect for our chairman/owner and DCFC

We didn't have to give permission, but our Chairman was obviously aware that at some point this may happen - much earlier than anticipated.

We as a club had to issue a further statement yesterday excusing Lampard and Morris from pre season training for 2 more days !

I would like an honest opinion on how you guys feel your club has/is behaving towards a fellow club?

Honestly? I don't know what you're complaining about. Your own chairman stated that the delay was down to Sir Frank being in holiday, a fact that was known by Derby County when they have us permission to talk to him.

In the meantime, Derby have made clear their intention. Of bringing in a replacement, whose name i forget, but who i am sure you are aware of.

Seriously, I think you need to get over yourself.

Phillip Cocu.

I'm also not sure we could have done much more.  You're forgetting that we would also prefer to go into out pre-season with a manager.  We're not delaying it for the fun of it.

Didn't he only get back from holiday last Friday ?

If so, the talks have taken place on the first two available working days (i.e yesterday and today) ... seems reasonable to me. Your chairman is obviously in the loop, based on his interviews. And you're being compensated to the tune of £4M for the inconvenience of finding a new manager. I get the disappointment, but I don't think you're being hard done by in terms of the hiring process.

Good luck for the coming season btw

Do you really think some negotiations had not been taking place to returning from holiday - please lets be real

I think when another club ask for permission to speak to our currently contracted manager then it is remiss of both Lampard and Chelsea to take this amount of time.

Our pre-season has started

£4M compensation for Lampard is not really an acceptable reason to procrastinate for this length of time.

I am wondering also if there is some conflict between the role Lampard wants and what Cech feels is right for the club

I have no problem with a Derby fan feeling that way but could you kindly elaborate?

I don’t know all the facts in the case, I have zero behind the scenes knowledge but judging from that statement - you do. So providing the detailed information you have of Chelsea & what we’ve done, Lampard & what he’s done and Derby & what you’ve done would aid in determining the validity of your remark. In addition all the communication, finances, correspondence, talks that you’ve seen to, again, substantiate your claim would be most helpful.

Once you’ve shared everything you know it’ll be easier to determine.

I look forward to your reply. Thank you.

Not done much more, you are having a laugh!

You approached us for permission to enter into talks with Lampard/Morris and who knows how many of our back room staff and still over a week later no announcement - Classless

I can understand your curiosity to come on a Chelsea forum and see what Chelsea supporters think about the situation.  But to keep harping on about the club being classless is not the way to do it.  There's obviously reasons as to why the deal hasn't been announced yet, these things are complicated with many moving parts.

Have you considered that it's possible that Derby has requested that we delay the announcement, and in so doing, giving them time to wrap up their own managerial search?

What did you hope to archive by coming on our forum and insulting our club? Your own owner even said live on Talksport that the delay was to do with the fact that both Lamps and Morris were still on holiday! You showed your obvious class with your last two posts mate.

Gladly

We gave you permission to talk to him 24/06/2019

We posted this on our club website

We were back at pre-season training yesterday and had to issue ANOTHER statement giving Lampard/Morris a further 2 days to conclude negotiations with Chelsea and not to attend training

Lets be real here, you were getting rid of Sari months ago, I am assuming you made back door communications with Lampard or associates prior to making an official approach, you can not try to say the time taken has been respectful to DCFC because it has not!

Oh I am sorry in this age of digital communications and agents is it not possible to communicate whilst in another country?

Our Chairman has shown his integrity in his dealings with Chelsea, its a shame it was not reciprocal

Also if the shoe was on the other foot I would be equally as critical of DCFC

BIB: Any proof of this?

I really don’t understand what the issue is here, Lampard just got back from holiday last Friday. Sure, we’ve probably contacted him while he was in France - But he’d need to be here in person to speak about the targets, his contract, wages, etc etc.

There’s a real chance that we didn’t meet him until yesterday?

You've obviously made up your mind that this is all evil Chelseas doing and that we have dragged this out just to spite your club. Can't be the fact that these negotiations are not always straight forward and might sometimes take some time. But, you know what, lets just drag this out a bit and delay our own pre-season so we can live up to the "enemies of football" tag that oppo fans like to stamp us with!

I'm sure this has been a rough summer for you.  Miss out on promotion.  Lose your best 2 players, unless Tomori comes back.  Lose your promising young manager.  Dark times ahead, indeed.

Yes, and you gave us permission.  I can't remember seeing we had to have a deal wrapped up in a certain amount of time.  Negotiating a contract isn't exactly as simple as saying "yeah, we want you as manager, sign here" and it's all sorted in a day.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to achieve here. =/

You don't understand the complexities involved in EPL manager contract negotiations, which is understandable i suppose, your'e a tier two club.

What do you want, a cookie?

Not really sure what you're trying to achieve with the hissy fit you're currently having on the forum?

I mean, you're view is that Chelsea are in the wrong for taking just over a week to negotiate the release of a manager from his contract when said manager wasn't even in the country to conclude any contract talks, let alone sign the actual contract. Same goes for his assistant coach who also wasn't in the country until the weekend.

You've had to make do without a coach whilst your players return to pre-season when they'll mostly be doing fitness tests anyway rather than having any actual coaching take place.

Diddums.
