Baffles me how that Carefree youth gets this rep as an ITK.  He really isnt.

Nobody is correct 100% of the time, and keep in mind I've only been following him for about a year, but I've found that he usually has some good information, particularly when it comes to the youth players.  Pretty sure he did know that Castillo was staying.  Does seem like a serial blocker though, that's for sure.

When it comes to Chelsea, nobody outside the club is fully ITK.  We are a tight lipped club with a fairly solid lid on any leaks.  I think if you analyzed anyone purporting to be ITK, they are probably wrong as often, if not more often, than they are correct.  

Frank knows he can get the sack easily so he's making sure his contract is water tight so when he does go he gets full compensation.

As much as you want to believe he will be here long term it's wishful thinking at best two year's max.

Lampard is a very smart man and i think he's gotten assurances that he gets to work without much pressure this season which should leave us in a good position for the season after and if he does well then he would be able to continue his work here at the club obviously.

So while anything can happen i'd say its overly negative to think he'll be here two seasons max.

Negative it may be, but it's realistic if you think about it, a rookie championship manager, taking on our least effective group of players in a generation. 

This deal is all about the romance.

But you never know, he could be the next Cloughie, he can rely on the fans, but we alone can't save him.

But with the lackadaisical squad comes lowered expectations on the manager. Hiring Lampard at this point is clearly a long-term play as there would be several different managers we would go for if we were after immidiate results at this point.

I've been humming Frankie's coming home for 2 days (who's responsible for putting that in my head ffs), when it's not even confirmed, nor am I convinced he's the right choice. It's about the romance alright.

Unless he's going to completely change his ways of running the club, in 2 years time, Frank will have to get Chelsea to a level where they're looking like serious challengers to City. If we're stiil pissing about strugling for top four at the end of season 2, then i agree he'lll get the boot. Personally, with the ban, i think it's going to take 3 years, not 2.

And that's what I find refreshingly different about this appointment.  It's clear Roman didn't like the disconnect between team and manager with Sarri managing us, and he's moved to change that.  Romance is also why Cech and Makalele (rumored) are back.

Time will tell whether Frank is the right man at the right time.  But expectations have never been lower, and this is the right situation to try something different.

We'll see but i've already seen several articles that said Lampard just need to avoid relegation to keep his job this season. So i think a lot of the media have understood that expectations at Chelsea are at an all-time low for the Roman-era.
Frank is well liked and connected to the media so i don't think they will be too harsh on him.
