Chelsea's next manager - evergreen post

So because he was a footballer we shouldnt question his ability as a manager? Theres been plenty of great players who have failed massively as managers so his playing career doesnt really matter. The bit in bold is just incredibly stupid as it is in fact 100% accurate and logical, she has been in her role much longer than Frank has, you just cant see past her being a woman in football as usual.

What a load of bollox, here we go with the woman in football sh*te again, here’s the other side of the coin ask this honestly if it was a man who used to be a PA and had no football experience he would get ripped to shreds on here, and that’s a fact, So be balanced if you want to make those assertions.

And again it was a tongue and cheek comment pointing at the irony of her talking about “job experience” being that she has no football experience asking about football experience especially to a guy with wealths of football experience it wasn’t designed to be taken apart by someone being pedantic it’s an obvious question to ask him yes I was referring to the irony is that tricky to grasp?

You're not being heroic you don’t need to defend women from me especially as I would put money on the fact you’re the type to see a fat bird crying keep walking throw your empty chip packet over her head to get it in the bin but if you see a pretty girl crying f**king arms out across England, call the fire brigade, handkerchief our wiping eyes, be a hero at the right times would you mate it’s embarassing despite what your handful of mates on an Internet forum may tell you.

Meanwhile, the Independent are telling us that Chelsea expect to confirm Frank Lampard's appointment imminently.

Which begs the question: how many imminentlys are there in 48 hours?

The most galling thing about all of this is actually the fact a lot of these people have journalism degrees. I wonder what the courses for that look like.

Module 1 - Make up whatever you like for transfer rumours.

Module 2 - if it’s an event, just guess and if you’re wrong, keep guessing and eventually it will line up.

Module 3 - if it doesn’t line up then just blame it on a sudden change of events.

Here’s your degree..

They just learn how to do this:-

Pot ?A - Player

Pot B - Team

Pot C - Situation

Pot A - Pedro

Pot B - Inter Milan

Pot C - Transfer

Wow you guys are really stretching this out, how long do these negotiations take?

Covering yourselves in so much admiration as a club

Ask to speak to a manager and 10 days later still no announcement, and that for a club legend.

This will be the model all clubs will look at when approaching another clubs manager ……………………………. not

someone else might have been at the meeting and talked. You would be amazed at how information gets around.

I have a freind who's a journalist and quite often the "sources close to this person" is actually the person in question themselves.

For me, with Frank being such a Chelsea legend, it's a good sign to see they are taking time with this and getting down to long and serious talks. If it had been done and dusted as quickly as you think it should have been, then that would mean they hadn't had serious talks to see if this is the right move for both parties. Chelsea have fallen a fair way off the top clubs, making this a very important decision and one that should not be rushed just because it's Chelsea and Frank.

Nosy f**ker that I am, I checked out your forum earlier this morning. And in amongst the mixture of outrage and support for Frank Lampard, there was a comment quoting an article (sorry I forget which paper) stating that it was the Derby County chairman who was mostly responsible for the delay.

Which makes sense, added your fellow Derby supporter.

So I would suggest that if you really want to argue the toss, do so back at dcfcfans.co.uk, because nobody here is remotely interested in your pitiful bleating

Again I think you are missing the point.

When a contracted manager is given permission to speak to another club, that club and the manager should reach an agreement or not, in a reasonable time frame.

I liked Lampard as our Manager, thought he offered a lot going forward, but both parties (Lampard and CFC) have gone down in my estimation.

You either think you have handled the situation well or you don't.

I know what most fans think

I was told years ago by a sports writer that they were expected to submit 3 to 5 stories a day so the standard was 2 proper stories, of which one was fully researched. The others are either rumours they heard with no proof or literally made up on the spot.

So, exactly how many managerial contract negotiations have you been involved in to have such insight?

It's been a week since we got permission and a week to finalize such a big case is not unreasonable at all.

And neither you or I know what may have been communicated behind closed doors now. It could very well be that we and Lampard have told Derby that the deal is done.

There’s been some real treats posting on this forum but you take the cake.  Your blind, unwarranted outrage is not allowing you to see reason.  I think it’s obvious we are allowing DCFC to progress in their own manager search.  If anything, Chelsea are being over respectful to your club.

I think you are living in a dreamworld, but doesn't surprise me.

You either understand principles or you don't

"Mr Class" is back again. With all the crap you've posted, all I can see now is "I hate Chelsea, I hate Frank Lampard, I Hate Chelsea, I hate Frank Lampard"....

Run along muppet.

Mate, there are so many factors involved in this, way more than you and I will ever know.  Everyone here has stated multiple times that these things can take time.  You literally have no clue what's going on with these negotiations, and as others have also mentioned we have most likely already completed the deal but are waiting for Derby to sort out their new manager first.  At no point have we been disrespectful during these talks.

That said, I know I've wasted my time making this post because apparently we're the ones "living in a dream world".  If all Derby fans like this then I hope to god I don't come across any more of you.
