Apparently Jack Rodwell has signed a new deal at Sheffield United. Didn’t realise he played for them, thought he was still at Sunderland stealing a living.

I'm with you on this, I also thought he had a good first season and with Pirlo likely to take over at Juve thought he would have a good chance of winning Serie A next year. 

 

Just read this from a blogger on the Redcafe forum called Red Ronaldo, I see his (or her ) point:

So, Chelsea going to be serious contender next season with so many good signings:
- Timo Werner 50m (top young striker who scored 34 goals last season, only second to Lewandowski in the league, will surely improve their attack)
- Hakim Ziyech 40m (Ajax best player over past 3 years, scored 21 goals as winger/AM in previous season, very interesting signing)
- Chilwell 50m (England international left back, arguable one of the best left back in the league, very good signing)
- Havertz 80-100m? (one of the best/most talented young attacking midfielder, it may or may not happen, lets see)

In comparison, this is what happened at Man Utd:
- 0 progress in our top target Sancho, we are far from matching their asking price, seems highly unlikely to happen
- our other target Grealish looks too expensive too, may not happen
- Our captain is currently locked in jail too, what the feck

Silva looks good

The way PSG plays Marquinhos in the deep midfield could be something that we might want to do with Ampadu.

Interesting first half, a few big chances missed, Mbappe should have scored that shot from a point blank range almost but he shot like a grandma.

Granted Mbappe is young but he is really bottling it here. PSG could easily have won this the first goal. And Neymar has gone missing.

Strange decision to put Mbappe on Alphonso Davis side, the only one that can match him for speed and take him out of the game, wich he did.

Tight game, Coman started as a youngster in PSG and now he scored the winning goal against them...

Don't agree. PSG had all the chances to nick this, Mbappe and Neymar bottled it. Simple as that. Bayern were way off their best.

Great to see PSG lose. May they never win the European Cup, particularly while that sook Neymar is playing for them 

Fair play to Bayern and especially Flick they have been the best team in the CL by a fair way. Was a scrappy game but they deserved to win.

Yeah even at the end they had chances. Neymar being selfish cost them massively too. Not playing in the overlapping runner on the right at the end was criminal. The overlapping runner makes a simple low cross and they have two players at the far post for a tap in. 

Bayern have been in a league of their own in the Champions League this season.........the only team that would have been able to stop them is the 2011-12 Chelsea team

PSG have only themselves to blame for not winning this final. They missed some clear chance, but closed down really well Bayern. I thought Davies was not very good tonight, out of position a few times and was dribbled by PSG players also a few times, plus offensively misplaced a few passes. Silva was quite good and solid, but in Bayern's goal I think he went out of position leaving two men for Kehrer. I enjoyed the tactical game, tbh.

Bayern deserved to win CL.

Flick has done an incredible job there.

Well deserved. Can't think of a reason why Icardi was left on the bench while 1-0 down...

Bayern were maybe not at their best tonight but PSG couldn't make use of it. They seemed too nervous and they lacked concentration throughout the whole match. Inexperience can often be a drawback in games like this which is one of the major reasons they couldn't play their usual game.

And what a fantastic decision did Flick make by starting with Coman instead of Perisic. Not many expected that but it paid off entirely.

Good, PSG may get away with the circumvention of the rules but they big one still alludes them.

I thought Neuer was amazing. Granted Mbappe should have scored.

I haven't seen much of PSG yet expected with his pace Mbappe would have played down the middle not the wing.

Happy for Bayern to win it, by far the best team in the competition this season. Hopefully we can close the gap a bit this summer.
